My youngest earned a "random gift from dad". So, I thought why not get him another model.
He plays tyranids. So, with a $25 (US) limit, what would you get?
He has a faily eclectic collection so far:
1 Winged Hive Tyrant
1 Carnifex
1 Trygon
30+ termagants
16 hormagaunts
3 warriors
1 venomthrope
1 (or 2?) hive guard
2 Lictors
8 genestealers (plus a brood lord)
15 gargoyles
? rippers
So, what would you get?

I would go with the: 8 genestealers (plus a brood lord)
you can never have too many genestealers.
3 warriors are also good.

Does he play, or just paint?
Because if he just paints, then get him a nice badass painting project of a model, like a carnifex or a lictor or something.
If he plays, then get him a unit you feel might be useful to him e.g. genestealers + broodlord, so he can have 2 units of them (pretty deadly choice for the opponent) or some other way to expand his list in a sensible tactical way.

He likes painting and playing...
Genestealers + another broodlord would be about $50.. so a bit over budget.
I think I'm going to just get him another Hive guard; to keep the other one company.
