Hey all,

Having never painted anything in my life I decided to start with Orks since if I did a bad job; I could just blame it on them being dirty and rough Orks. So to showcase my work; I would like to show you all my current minis! =)

Boys with Choppa Support --

Warboss with rifle and claw --

Biker with Green Buddy -

Biker with Big Choppa --

Biker with Claw --

I have played 3 games so far and won all three. All three were against my best friends Tau Army. Every time he tried to use his grenade thingy he would have to roll scatter and then he would just wiff. Then my boyz would get to "krumpin" and his puny Tau would be torn apart by the might of my furious Orks.

I hope you all like my stuff here. I hope to one day purchase a kit that lets me airbrush my minis and I hope to have some very good looking miniatures some day. I also hope to buy a penitence engine because it is my favorite mini of them all and I would love to have a shiny airbrushed one that looks beautiful. Maybe a "looted penitence engine" to replace a killacan or something? hahaha =)

Boston!

They're looking good for a first time, though it would really improve them is to give each color a wash to help pick out the details. Keep it up and you'll do fine.

Yeah, I agree with the suggestion of washes, it would definitely improve their look, but those are really nice and clean, congrats.

I'll agree with prime here, try a wash of Devlan mud or Thraka green on the skin.
All in all though, pretty good for a first army!
Keep it up!

Is it bad to say it looks like.... Lego?

Anyways you always have to tart some place and i say good job for a first timer! Some washes and some Bolt Gun metal here and there and it will look great! Promise you!

I knew there was something about it that I wanted to say, lego exactly. Wash it duller, remember - Orks don't wash, they kill...

for a first time painting, you've got pretty nicely set up colors, a strong palette, and crisp lines.

I'll second that a heavy wash would bring up some shading. You should also base the models, even if you just paint them a flat color. Glue and kitty litter go a long way.

With a bash and a single wash, they'd be table top painted for nearly any event. I'd consider picking out some details, especially on things like the bikes and warboss.

Thanks for the suggestions every one!!! I am going to go on youtube tommorow and learn how to wash my minis with paint. I have a Mekboy with a snot launcher gun that I need to pain; so I will try to look into making him the best I can!!! Thanks for the words of encouragement. It really helps to hear I might have some tourny ready minis soon! =)
