Okay so there once was a lot of hype floating around Fellblades not to long ago. I was wondering what model would be appropriately used to have one in my Blood Angel Army (Angels Encarmine to be Specific). I want to use a Baneblade Chassis with a home made turret with Vulcan Heavy Bolters but I don't necessarily want to have a Baneblade and say its not that its a Fellblade (does that make sense? I don't want to take a tank of pride from an IG player and make it a SM knock off). To be honest I don't feel right taking a Baneblade and making it a Fellblade. What would you recommend?

^^ kinda a cop out isn't it? ^^

Why not just paint up the tank as a Imperial guard vehicle and just say it's allied to your forces? That's what I did.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Why don't you just buy the sprues for the Baneblade tracks, and scratchbuild/kitbash the rest. You could add extra plating on the tracks if you want to really distinguish them from a Baneblade.

There a great thread where the someone built a extra wide SM tank using the Baneblade Tracks as a starting point. I can't find the thread at the moment, but when I find it, I'll post the link.

EDIT: Found it:

Also using one of the tread patterns used in this thread will help make it look different from a Baneblade:

Here the posters' eBay store if you like any of the parts:

EDIT: Man, I can not spell tonight.

Yep, and if you have any questions I'm on DakkaDakka too

It's actually a very easy conversion to do using the Tank Combo Pack. The hardest part is cutting out the old turret mount to install the new one. But with a sharp Xacto blade it only takes 10 or 15 minutes to do.

Agreed, however I've seen some very good loyalist SM BB conversions that weren't just SM painted BB's. One of the best was basically a gigantic BB sized Land Raider type vehicle, with a transport capacity and forward assault ramp with the big BB tread sections on either side. It looked sleek, aggressive, and not like a knock-off, and useable in normal games as well as simply just a really big land raider.

Here's one of them, I've seen several

This is usually the best way to do it if you just want a straight IG tank to play with.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.
