With my recent futility using my WoC I thought I might go back to my original WFB army the EMPIRE!!

I realize its a lot of points in characters, don't know if I like that
Does have 3 hordes plus a ton of shooty shooty

Don't have more halberdiers so can't add more

Am I too hung up on keeping my characters safe with ward saves?

Suggestions are welcomed - no theme here just what I got

I like it, but I would prefer 6 mortars, 6 cannons, 2 steamtanks, and a couple hellstorm rocket batteries.

Other than my fasanation with the Nuln armies i think it will work great. You will be getting +5 DD a turn, but i think that the 3rd warrior priest might be uneccessary. I would invest his points into a Capatus with the Sword of fate or a captian with the stubborn helm to put in your swordsmen.

Just some basic advice with the halbrediesrs, if you are fighting an enemy with hoards of 10 wide run your troops 12 wide if the enemy is on 20 mm basses and 14 wide if they are on 25mm basses. That way you can maximize attacks and bring the death faster.

we play 3K with 2999 rules so no 6 mortar 6 cannon! thats just mean

3rd priest give hatred to each unit or that was my intent

feels kinda weird without knights though

Thank jebus that you are not doing the 6 cannons and mortars that would be just cruel.

Maybe wulfrik and some marauder friends would make the all warmachine army sad but this would be nice to see.

But go with stubborn because you dont really want to run away and you have enough men for a bit of a grind right.
