Whats better verses a boyz heavy Ork army.

I tend to like the Dakka Pred. It puts out more shots of ork killy goodness, and is cheaper. Plus it does not need to be as close to those PC nobz.......

If you have enough points, get two or three vindicators. These will be more effective on the long run that dakka preds. However, if you don't have enough points to get at least two, then go for the dakka pred.

I think an optimum loadout would be two vindicators and a dakka pred.

I agree with this. If the Orks have any armour then you could use a AC/LC pred as well as two Vindicators.

I will admit, that the gun of the vindi does make even ork players wince, but the short range means you will get around 2 shots before it's destroyed.

This is most likely true, however if the perceived threat of those shots has enough of a 'scarecrow effect' to make the Orks more manageable, it'll have done its job.

One Vindi is not massively difficult to manage. Two is a very intimidating prospect.

I went for the Predator as it was only a small points limit. Thanks for all your help.
