Who is your favorite named character?

Mine personally would have to be Logan Grimnar.

I would probably say Eldrad, partly because of my bias eldar-ness, but also because of how powerful he is and how much he has influenced and bended the events of the universe to his will.

Yarrick. He is just brilliant. A pure example of how stubborn the IG actually are.

Nightbringer. He is most powerful character this far.

I don't play guard, but Yarrick. Even has his own baneblade. But tied with Eldrad.

Close seconds would be Inquisitor Lord Fyodor "fancy chair" Karamazov, St Celestine and prince Yriel.

Edit: Seeing as it's not 40k only anymore added to first is Kirai Ankoku and Gurvaldt Irusk.

Skarbrand.

He is so 'ard and Pis**d off, he tried to take on Khorne. Took a chunk of armour off him.

Then he lost his wings and now wanders around blowing planets up just to make up for it !

Morathi.

From slaaneshi captive elf slave to Lady Macbeth schemer who nearly destroyed the entire elven race and founded the Dark Elven nation.

Deathleaper. His basic purpose is to troll particularly cunning prey until they suffer a mental breakdown, epic lulz ensure. Especially when Doomie comes along for the tag-team when the character's not hanging with a retinue

I do think it's a shame Morathi's mini is so poor.

I liked the original one of her on foot, that became a generic dark elf sorceress.

Maugan Ra, just plain awesome. Nice model, took on a Tyranid swarm by himself and won, and entered the eye of terror and came back out with a Craftworld.

Yeah, I'd agree with that MGS. Aurelia keeps telling me she'll surprise me with her own sculpt one day. Neither of us are big fans of the current model, especially Sulphet.

Now that we've left Warhammer Fantasy for the time being, I have warned her if she does, it'd probably lead us back in.

I would say Farsight, as he said F U to the Tau empire.

Dragio is a pretty cool guy, he kills the deamons and doesn't afraid of anything.

But seriously Inquisitor Coteaz is awesome, having power over multiple planets, an armies worth of followers and NOT going mad with power. The man is awesome.

You could use the Gamezoneminiatures dark elf on dark pegasus. If I were going to use Morathi mounted, I'd use this one, with a possible head swap.

It's nice, but Aurelia was thinking of something more towards display piece, that could be used on a battlefield with a bit of care, twisting in flight while casting a spell if I remember right.
Plus with the pulling back on Fantasy, it's more like a project to bring me back, than to go purchase something. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I think my best bet at the mo, would be to see if she could do a version of Morathi on foot, and make her the leader of a Mordheim warband.

As a runner up to Ciaphas Cain I would say Kaldor Drago for his awesome fluff!

And before I get slaughtered by an angry mob fueled by nerdrage let me explain:

Whoever gets stuck in the Warp suffers one of two fates:
- either gets butchered and his soul eaten
- or he so badass that he butchers those that are after him and survives (for the time being)

Drago falls under this second category.

Now, the problem with the Warp is that it taints EVERYONE, even the most intelligent, faithful, heartless, etc... and all become a mad, ravening beast only content in killing!
(Like the Alpha Legion, the Thousand Sons, etc...)

Except...

Because of his training and brainwashing Drago's hatred for daemons continues to burn inside of him.

And now instead of having a superhuman going:

"MUST KILL... EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He goes:

"MUST KILL... DAEMONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

So THAT was the Emperor's secret plan against Chaos after all, send a bunch of genetically enhanced maniacs to fight them from the inside! (alright, the "bunch" consists only of a single maniac...)

You see, Mat Ward's fluff DOES make sense!

I think I need to cut down on 40k for a while...
