Based off of a Dark Heresy character of the same name (whom would eventually have reached Interrogator status if the roleplay hadn't drawn to a close)... more an experiment in rules than anything. I haven't decided on points cost because of the non-serious nature of these ideas.

Sv: 4+/5++

Wargear: Lathe-Mesh Robes, Mjolnir
Special Rules: Utterly Brilliant, Utterly Faithful, Psychic Blank

Lathe-Mesh Robes: Specially made robes from the Lathe worlds, one of the most famous Mechanicus-controlled worlds in the Imperium. Grants a 4+ armor save. In-woven blessings grant a 5+ invulnerable save.

Mjolnir: An unfeasibly large handgun (Selena wears special gloves to absorb its recoil) known for its preternatural ability to hit vital areas of its target, especially headshots. Uses three kinds of ammunition, including specially designed Mjolnir rounds, which instead of penetrating deliver impossible amounts of electricity into the target's body upon impact.

-- Man-Stopper Rounds: R18", S4 AP4, Pistol 1 Rending, Master-Crafted
-- High-Density Penetrators: R6", S5 AP4, Pistol 1 Rending, Master-Crafted
-- Mjolnir Rounds: R12", S3 AP-, Pistol 1 Rending, Poisoned 3+, Glances 3+

Utterly Brilliant: Known more for her mind than her combat ability, Selena applies this to the planning of the battle, allowing more precise application of reserves and deep striking assets. May re-roll one reserves roll and one deep strike scatter roll every turn.

Utterly Faithful: Though her mind is by no means small with how much knowledge she has managed to accumulate in her years in service to the Inquisition, there is no doubt or fear. Selena Pelanor may choose to pass or fail all leadership checks, and does not suffer being destroyed due to losing combat and choosing to fail her test (although this protection does not apply to any squad she is attached to). At the beginning of the player's movement phase, she may choose to automatically regroup, although this may mean that she has to leave the squad that she is attached to if they are routed. Finally, for all other purposes, she counts as Stubborn.

Psychic Blank: Selena Pelanor is a psychic blank, and is completely uneffected by psychic powers, or psychic-based powers such as those of the Doom of Malan'tai and daemonic gifts such as the power weapon effect of the bloodletter's Hellblade. This effect also prevents these items from working if the users are within 6" of Selena Pelanor. She is not, however, trained to utilize this as a weapon as the assassinorum operatives are. At the beginning of each turn, roll d6+6. All psykers within this distance act at Ld7 and must make a leadership check or flee, detaching from squads as necessary to make this movement.

Hellblades are wargear. Sure they are called daemonic gifts but they work and often represent wargear. For instance Wings, Power Armor, Whatever. I dont see how being Psyckicly Blank would negate power armor, rending claws, wings or a power weapon some daemon is carrying especilly if the daemon is not a psyker. Anyway its your character, if you want that effect you just need to word it as Psykic powers and Daemonic Gifts, or another way, psykic powers and everyhing in Codex Daemons.

Also note that a lot of the new psykic powers dont target things, but still might affect them. Hammerhand, GK force weapons(so i hear), quicksilver. You will be affected but you cant stop them from working. Unless you jsut make a rule, no model within 6" may cast a psykic power.

I never like "immune to [insert thing here]" rules, especially those of psychic powers. They get waaaay too tricky too quickly. Immune to all Daemonic Gifts? How does that work for Hit & Run, grenades, armor saves, stat changing abilities, etc. Just pull the ability.

Also a really tricky rule. So, if she flees, and would be run down, but isn't destroyed, does she take "No Retreat" wounds like Space Marines? If not, what's the justification for not?

Overall, not a fan.

Actually, in the lore that's exactly what happens. A psyker tries to use hammerhand, but finds that they cannot summon the power to do it. I should add that actually.

In truth, the REAL problem with that rule is that I haven't added in the drawbacks for being a Blank.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Something like this:

Psychologically Disturbing
Quite aside from being a Blank, which only adds to this, Selena Pelanor herself is rather disturbing in her almost childlike optimism and dedication to the Emperor's service in a way that is almost alien even to the most devout worshipper and servant. Her leadership may not be used for the squad she has joined, and she may never join a unit with a Psyker in it (they won't let her).
