Are SoB the female version of space marines? And if so why arent there any Chaos SoB?

No they aren't.
I have never heard of Chaos SoB (Apart from the Cain series) but i would suppose it is because they are pretty damn faithful possibly more so than SM since SM venerate the Emperor as a father not a god.
Melissia may try to kill you now... or not...

...urrrr... I dunno

They aren't by any stretch of the imagination.
Whereas SM fulfil the role of shock troops or possibly special forces, SoB are elite regular infantry, and fight in a completely different style to the SM.

SoB don't undergo the genetic and biological changes that turn an adolescent human into a Space Marine. Apart from their sincere, and all-consuming, faith in the God-Emperor, the women of the Sisters of Battle are entirely human.

Sororitas *can* fall to the Ruinous Powers, of course, but this is rare as it is their faith in the God-Emperor that sets them apart from the rest of humanity, moreso than their training or the fact that they wear power armor and carry flamers. Any Stormtrooper can climb into a suit of PA and heft a heavy weapon... only a Sister can manifest miracles through the power of her faith.

SoBs weren't invented until long after the Horus Heresy.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

The HH isn't the dividing line between Loyal and Chaos marines, however. Plenty of other SM chapters have gone rogue and turned to the service of the Arch-Enemy in the millenia since the Heresy.

Sisters are incorruptible, unlike Marines. They're also just really tough women instead of bio-engineered supermen like Marines are. A step above Imperial Stormtroopers, a step below Space Marines in combat prowess.

Sisters are not incorruptible. There's an entire role in the Dark Heresy RPG devoted to playing a Fallen Sororitas in the retinue of a Radical Inquisitor.

They're less likely than other, normal humans to fall to Chaos... but they are not, as a rule, immune to the possibility. Many Radical Inquisitors, too, fall in the same manner as a Sororitas may fall... they begin to believe too much in their own purity, that because they are pure, they cannot become impure, and any decision they make in the cause of purity is the right and pure decision. In this manner, Chaos twists the goals and aims of the Pure, causing them to take up the weapons of Chaos to use them against Chaos, but this is a road of foolish pride and, ultimately, damnation.

You learn something new every day then, I guess. I was going on previous fluff that said they were incorruptible.

I don't think it ever said they were incorruptible but they never seemed to be an example of them falling to chaos.

I was going to wheel out the old Cain example, but SoB dont, as a rule, get corrupted easily.
But it can be done.

And now I'm thinking of chaos SoB for my traitor guard... Now then, where did I leave my spiky bitz?

The Cain example is an exception...
Especially since the ones that were freed threw themselves of a dam once they were freed.
