I like it, you've got a pretty decent model count. You've definatly gone for 'boyz before toyz' here
Plenty of Melta, a couple of Lances, 4 flamers for horde killing (plus lots of bolt pistol shots, and assaulty goodness) 3 squads of Vets for deep striking assault. Think this might be about as good as you can get.

Melta Bombs on Sang Priests for last 10 points?

Looks really solid. Personally I'd try and get some Power Weapons on the VV but I don't see how that's possible with how you've loaded everything out. I personally wouldn't change anything.

I've ran something like this as 2,000 points and works well. Though I just personally prefer mech instead.

Yea, but I have Mech Guard, so I was an assault army without tanks to play. This I should be able to proxy test in the next week or so.

Not sure how it will hold up in my metagame.

I have nothing bad to say about this list. You are running everything according to my taste.

I guess one thing to consider would be trying to get 3 Devastator Squads with 4x Missile Launchers in here. I guess I'd drop a Librarian + HG and a VV Squad if I was going that route. You'd have enough for a standard Priest to run with them if you like the idea.

That is my point! I have a boring shooting army already, why get another? I want a boring assault army without vehicles. It is between this DoA list and a DW list...

..so I think I will just do both.

I think I misunderstood you. I thought you said a mech Angels army is boring when you play mech Guard, kind of double standards
