I know lot of you debated on this that Humans life like today or up to 120 years, but I think they live longer...
The reason is Castor from Retribution, in Tyranid campaign where he dies he says: "after leading men for a century...".
To me he look like a man that's 40-50 years old, if he is been a commanding officer for 100 years... that might be more than 120 years...

Thought?

Depends on how "important" they are. The higher the rank the more likely they are to have access to some of the IoM's rejuvenation technology to ensure once they reach a position of power they hold it for a long long time.

Yep, not sure on the maximum but it's probably something like 300-400 maximum. Probably easier for the higher ups in the Ad Mech to live longer than that, but generally once they reach that age they're basically a machine with a brain in it.

Half a brain. Right of Clear Thought and all that jazz.

I'd think it'd be closer to 200-250 years, but I've never seen a number.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.

Hmmm I need to check in the Eisenhorn novels, somewhere his age is stated and he is still *mostly* human.

For the wealthiest/important humans with access to the best medical supplies and the brightest docters, I could see them living for hundreds of years easily, perhaps millenia. After all, space marines are still "technically" humans, but lets ignore them for now.

Using 999 M41 as the "current day".
Someone like Creed and his guard Jarren Kell have been alive for 4000 years (having been around since the 8th crusade). Captain Al'rahem is 700 (not sure in this, he's alive at the same time as Macharius, not sure 2nd and 5th ed Al'rahems are the same).

A middle-upper class individual, this is where its harder to say. Sebastian Thor died at 112. Yarrick was said to be old at the start of the second war of armageddon, and was around for the third war 50 years later. If Ibram Gaunt is still alive (someone needs to verify this.), it would make him 250+ years old. Ciaphas Cain is also 200+. Colonel Schaeffer is said to be 300+ years

Outside of that, life is cheap. I'd put that 120 is about right for the masses, if theyre lucky. Of course, this is also only dealing with High Imperial / Low Imperial worlds.

As I recall from Eisenhorn something like 120 is what regular people with access to health care can aspire to.

An inquisitor (or other important person) can get rejuvenat treatments, extending their life to 700 years or beyond. And they'll look good all the time, as people in their strongest years between 30 and 40.

4000 years old? Or did you add an extra 0 there in error?

I guess warp travel comes into play for some of them. What might be 10 minutes in the warp may be 10 years outside of it.

Oh yeah I agree totally but 4000 years old.

I don't think Creed does a lot of sight seeing other than the walls of Cadia

Looking into it further, Shigematsu is right looking at it, the 8th begun in 999.M37 ... jebus

Creed is a proper old boy

Correction on Creed.

In the 5th ed book he was clutching a book with Macharius in it, so that puts him younger than 700.

In Eye of Terror, he was a commander in 983M41. So that puts him between 40 and 60... not 4000 like I saw before... unless...

On that note, I'm correcting the Lexicanum.

Any idea where the reference that he was a boy during the 8th Black Crusade came from?

I think he is referenced as being 50 in the 4th ed IG codex.

Not a clue, all the wikis seem to share the same error though. I think they were confusing the 8th Regiment with the 8th Crusade, funnily enough, this isnt the first time the "Creed is 2000 years old" has popped up.

As long as they can afford rejuvenation treatments.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

It is said that an inquistor has to be over 100 years before they can take an apprentice.

Some people (high up commanders/navel captains/planetary governors) can live for a long time as they can afford or are afforded rejuvanetive medicines and high quality augments.

The problem with the question is that 'life expectancy' is a mean, it is an average. So in an empire like the IoM the life expectancy of humans is either relatively low or similar to our own. This is due to the conditions in hive worlds, the number of humans in the IG that die, the vast number of worlds at a level of tech either similar to ours or below.

Relictors: 1500pts

its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.

It's also hinted that Colonel Schaffer isn't entirely human.

Also, the longevity is heightened in Space Marines. Commander Dante, last I checked, was somewhere around 1100 years old. I can imagine the High Lords of Terra going to great efforts, and having great access, to better rejuvenant treatments.

Depends on rank and position and how well you serve the Imperium, and probably how easy it is that person to access rejuvenatory treatments. Creed for example, very high rank, exceptional record so The Imperium would want to keep him around for as long as possible, and he's on Cadia so probably quite easy for him to be given treatment.

Actually they pretty much are. Juvenate treatments are fairly attainable for most middle class Imperials. Most non-back water worlds probably have a life expectancy of 200-250.

I agree. From the Eisenhorn novels it certainly seemed a rarity.

Spoiler:
His view of Bequin, much wealtier and more connected than a middle class Imperial, hardly suggested such treatments were commonplace.

Though I doubt it, I must wonder if rejuvenant drugs allow women to be able to conceive children safely for longer than normal.

Basically I think a juvenate treatment is like buying a car. If you're super-rich you can afford to buy a car every month or even every week! Those people will obviously live quite a while. Nonetheless, "normal" people should still be able to afford seveal treatments over their (now extended) lifespan. Most of the Tanith in GG are now around 50 but still in top physical condition. Eisenhorn mentions when he's 40 something he's in "prime" physical condition by normal Imperial Standards. Basically I don't think juvenile treatments are super-secret-forbidden tech. They're just pricey.

There's certainly no evidence to suggest that the men of the Tanith 1st and Only have access to rejuvenant treatments. A lot of the original Tanith are described as 'getting-on' if not ageing. As for Eisenhorn, he's an Inquisitor. That puts him well above even the wealth of an Aristocrat in getting access to Rejuvenant treatments.

I think upper-middle class imperial citizens could afford juvenat if they saved their money for a while. There must be other ways of extending lifespan as well. Macaroth for example is somewhere close to ten millenia old isnt he?

The Imperium using advanced technology is like drinking Pepsi out of a Coke bottle.

Where would you get that idea from? 10,000 years old? He was made Warmaster 235 years ago.
