Grey Knights are meant to be elite of the eilte. therefore some rules are needed.

Grey Knight Librarian powers:

Null Zone: Like SM Null Zone but expanded to whole battlefield. Librarian cannot move or shoot if using this power as it takes all his concentration.

Grey Knight Librarians should also be able to reroll failed psychic tests since they are ever more highly trained than normal librarians.

Techmarine:

Curse of the Machine God: All power weapons in enemy squad cease to function for the duration of the turn.

Paladins:

Shield of Faith.
Psychic Power that imbues them with 4+ inv save increasing to 3+ in CC with Nemesis Force Swords.
Teleport Masters: Can assault after deep striking

Venerable Dreadnoughts:

LESS EXPENSIVE.
Reroll all failed rolls to hit.
Holocaust power.

Strike Squads:

Teleport Masters: Can assault after deep striking

Terminator Squads:
Teleport Masters: Can assault after deep striking

Interceptor Squads:
Teleport Masters: Can assault after deep striking or teleport shunt

Purgation Squads:
Psychic Convergence: Psychic power that increases the range of their weaponry by 12"

Not overpowered I think. would just make Grey Knights a bit more aggressive than they are now. And wipe Blood Angels into the dust.

Yes, overpowered, Grey Knights do not need these kinds of boosts. GK have different, better powers already to show their better psychic potential.

Massively overpowered.

how so?

GK terminators can't take storm shields so their best Inv save is 4+, yet normal terminators get a 3++ save for FREE??

Grey Knights are meant to be masters of teleporting and deep striking, so why shouldn't they be able to assault after deep strike?
It's not too overpowered when you realise just how FEW units you can actually get deep striking in a Grey Knights army.

Yes it is. GK Terminators don't get Storm Shields because they'd be unkillable, Paladins even more so. Teleport shunt is already one of the better objective grabbing abilities in the game.

Puragtion squads need a range boost, or an upgrade to obtain one to make them a viable choice outside of my FLGS city board. The Grey Knights do not this kind of boosting in general however, they're fairly powerful already.

Your version of null zone alone is OTT. I'm sorry but with all those rules you might as well play with 2x more points than your opponent.

Good things are good,.. so it's good

Thunder Hammer Termintators don't get a 3++ for free. Grey Knights can have a 4++ save, a Storm Bolter, Psylencer, Incinerator or Psycannon and a power weapon or Daemonhammer...

Regular Assault terminators may get an improved save but they can't take a shooting weapon - especially not one as good as GK Terminators or Paladins.

You mean except for Draigo, Mordrak, Grand Masters, Brother Captains, Librarians, Terminator-armoured Inquisitors, Terminator Squads, Paladin Squads, Interceptor Squads, Stormravens, Dreadknights with PTs...

So let me get this straight, you think a 3++ Terminator is better than a Terminator which can have I6 or +2A, as well as having an automatic Force Weapon, as well as a possible 2W, a 2++ Invun in CC, S5 Storm Bolters, S10 Daemonhammers, and are Troops Choices. You really think a TH/SS Termie is better?

And regarding Deep Striking, there are plenty of GK units which can Deep Strike
- Draigo
- Mordak
- Stern
- Grand Master
- Brother Captain
- Librarian
- Malleus Inquisitor
- Paladins
- Terminators
- Strike Squad (yes, the most basic GK unit can Deep Strike, so claiming that they have few DS units is a crap argument)
- Interceptors
- Storm Raven

basically the most expensive units in the codex you mean. the ones that if you take in any reasonable amount you get get outgunned and outmanned very very quickly....

Draigo, Mordrak, Grand Masters, Brother Captains, Librarians, Terminator-armoured Inquisitors, Terminator Squads, Paladin Squads, Interceptor Squads, Stormravens, Dreadknights with PTs... some are cheap, others aren't.

I think a quicker list is what can't deep strike?

That'd be Techmarines, Brotherhood Champions, Inquisitors and warbands, Purifiers, Purgation Squads and Dreadnoughts, then...

Way overpowered. Are you kidding me? People are already complaining about the new GK's.

It's like you're driving a Porshe and complaining that it isn't fast enough. Then the average joe driving the Camry looks at you and go, "are you nuts?"

GK's don't need these kind of buffs. They're good enough already as they are.

why do people with the over powered armies always say they need it better ... are they THAT bad at the game

GK's are very ocmpetative right now and can wipe the floor with many codexes when played by players of equal skill given balanced lists. what you seem to want it for a mediocre player (like myself) to be able to use gk's to compete with a great player (say like a dashofpepper level player) it should not happen gk's are fine the way they are and if anythign i hope thier faq nerfs em a bit

Actually, I have a 1000 point 20-terminator list I've run that is 3-1-1 with the only loss being against mech guard. I usually deep strike it.

So, GK players have been saying they are uncompetitive. Then a new new, very powerful codex comes out for them. And you are saying they need help?

Spend you time better, like by playing...

Clearly what our codex needs is the following:
Psychic Power. Any HQ choice with Psyker Mastery Level 1 or more may take it for 5 points. Grand Strategy Redux: When you roll for mission type, take a psychic test. If successful, you automatically win the game. If a Perils of the Warp result occurs, you may have it resolve against an enemy HQ choice of your choosing. If your opponent thinks this is unfair or unbalanced, you may punch him in the face.

Aside from Purgation squads being bad at their intended role, we're fine.

When I first read this I definitely thought it was a joke.

Also when the original post says "and wipe blood angels into the dust" you know something is wrong.

Runnin up on ya.

Yes, your right, it's totally fair that you can assault an army before they have a chance to shoot you. Sounds completely balanced to me. *nods head* I mean half of the armies out there aren't close combat monsters anyway but that's ok, you can DS and assault in the same turn.

Actually, I think you solved the game. There would be no reason to play anymore because everyone already knows the result.

Yep. Love it.

Strike Squads and Terminator squads can Deep Strike.

thats the TROOPS choices right there.

I think of, the PA models, only Purifiers can't DS and they don't need to.

unless you are running a Crowe army, then your entire frakkin army can deep strike.

The mind still boggles on how you could not stand up to BA amazingly with GK already. Step 1. Shoot at them. Step 2. Move back, Shoot at them. Step 3. Now that you've whittled them down, let them assault you and cripple them before they get to hit back with halibreds. Step 4. Repeat with one of the other MSUs you've brought.

yeah, assaulty BAs hate an army that ignores their Armor and FnP saves.

BAs pay alot of points for those benifits and GKs strip those away.

all the BAs have left is FC(not bad, but overpriced at that point)

the GKs will strike first with I6 halberds and drop a bunch of BAs before they swing and no saves against it.

if the Gks actually get the charge then the BAs lose what little chances they have left.

I think the only thing they need is a grand strategy that says "all weapons that have psy in the name or use ammunition that contains the word psy gain an additional strength"

because s5 stormbolters, s6 heavy bolters, s8 autocannons and s7 psycannons are just not enough to take out tanks.

sorry, maybe a little harsh, mean, cool rule ides and everything, but really OP. Make rules for some armies that need some stronger units like Tao. But really not fo GK, they are pretty hardcore as is.
