Main question really is, does these old school Carnifex legs fit the new daemon prince proportion wise?

They are about as tall as a regular marine

Nice. From what I can tell, you get enough parts in the kit for two daemon princes, except that one will be missing legs, am I correct in this assumption?

you'll also need to come up with a replacement for his back

Genestealer spine works great for the back, and yes the carnifex legs are of similar size and goat leggedness.

Hope that helps. Hot glue to fill in around the gaps a genestealer spine leaves, and just dunk it in water to make it set quickly and not run out the bottom.
Unless of course you want a nurgle DP...
