LOS ANGELES – "Planet of the Apes" actress and former model Estella Warren was arrested after a late-night crash that led to her allegedly assaulting a police officer then trying to flee from custody, officials said Tuesday.
Warren was driving down Harper Avenue near West Hollywood when she crashed into three parked cars, Los Angeles police Officer Sarah Faden said.
Someone heard the noise of the crashes and came to see what was going on. That person called police then pursued Warren when it was clear she wasn't going to stop and leave her information, Faden said.
The person then forced Warren to stop, though it was unclear how. Police arrived and arrested Warren on suspicion of driving under the influence, but she assaulted one of the officers, Faden said. The 32-year-old actress was then immediately re-arrested for felony battery on an officer.
Police took Warren to Wilshire station, where she was detained in a holding room. Exactly how she managed it was unclear, but Faden said Warren slipped out her handcuffs then burst through a door to the police station and briefly escaped. She was immediately recaptured and booked on a felony escape charge.
Warren was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
A call to Warren's manager was not immediately returned.

I wasn't aware that there was a new Planet of the Apes movie in the works. This is sad news indeed (the movie, I couldn't care less about the actress' craziness).
Not even kidding, I feel so bad for the police force that has to deal with all the lovely hollywood types. Those men and women simply do not get paid enough for that BS

You need to watch The Departed and realise how awesome Marky Mark is.

Really, if I catch any of you young'uns watching this there'll be trouble; big trouble, no Space Marines for your birthday kind of trouble. You have been warned!

Completely agree. Marky Mark is a badass. And his character made me laugh my ass off during that movie. Not to mention the ending is just the tits. Ice cold man
Even WITH that movie, he still a laughing stock in most areas.

Marky Mark's badassery is irrelevant. The first Planet of the Apes remake (2001ish) was terrible. If Marky Mark were the biggest badass around, it still would have been a terrible movie.
But he does tend to take on some badass roles. Like when he owned face with the Funky Bunch.

Agreed, hence my joke in the original post about not "making lame remakes".
Hollywood can't leave anything alone these days, they are completely bereft of ideas. So they remake movies and constantly make really bad ones. Remakes of bad movies that are even worse than the originals and remakes of classics that can't touch the original films at all for quality. The new films are just there to make money from the 16-25 crowd, but contribute nothing to the "art" of cinema.

If you were to pick 10 remakes at random, there's a good chance that 9 of them would suck. But there have been a few good remakes:
3:10 to Yuma
True Grit
The Thomas Crown Affair
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Little Shop of Horrors
just to name a few. Note that this discounts certain movies that wouldn't necessarily be considered "remakes" but rather "reinterpretations" like Roxanne, Scarface, the various Batman and Superman movies, The Magnificent Seven, and Fistful of Dollars.

I found 3.10 to Yuma dull as dishwater. True Grit was good, I'll grant ya that. The girl stole that movie.
I haven't seen the others.

Why does the idea of her attempted escape make me chuckle, can see her making wierd noses as she runs down the street trying to find a limo before being tackled by a group of cops.

No, I wont let you use badass and Charles Bronson in the same sentence. That man is a horribad actor. And his movies were 50x worse

Thanks fine. Mr. Wahlberg and his brother Mr. Wahlberg agree with me
