Ok number three is due to arrive the end of october (a probable 6 month plus hiatus will inevitably follow) so in order to use up all the excess hormones now, I'm going to see how many models I can paint to completion. I'll mostly be grabbing models I have half painted in the last couple of years and trying to finish them to a reasonably high standard. I'll hopefully still post ork stuff here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/343945.page as I finish them. First up is some blood angels I'm working on. Sanguinary Guard are already finished here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/370431.page and I'm currently working on some Death company and an Honour guard. They are second hand models so were handily all primed and basecoated already. I've done a bit of tidying up and shading, scroll work, red on the death company etc.


I'm trying to go for a bit of a darker look for the red so did quite a heavy shadow with some thinned VMC burnt cad. red mixed with a dab of Dark Angels Green

Ok well will update when I've got some more done. After this I've a nightbringer, meganobs, and possibly some brettonian damsels to finish. My husband (blame him for the blog title ) collects space wolves which I paint so expect to see some of those too.

I just cant believe it. You should be ashamed of your self. These are not orks. Very nice to look at but not orks. I think someones needs a time out.

But really very nice. The look very clean and neat. Now get those green skins in there to chop them up.

In the meanwhile I've finished the edge highlighting on the death company. Its possibly a bit too subtle so I might need to go back and make it a bit stronger. You'll probably have to click through to the big pic in the gallery to see it even.

I've still got to dirty up that scroll work a bit more, finish the gemstones and add a little glow to the jump-packs. All c&c welcome.

Ok The death company are all finished. C&C welcome especially since I haven't sealed them yet so can still add/change. Next up is finishing the honour guard.

Ok got some more work done on the honour guard. The shading is all done and a lot of details tidied up, banner is all fixed up too. Weapons need finishing and highlights to do.

Congratulations on both your good news and the cool paintjob you've pulled off.That banner in the bottom pic is awesome.

Honour guard still waiting to be finished and now I've jumped onto something new! argh. Fixing that banner made me want to try out some freehand, just simple stuff to start with, copying the icons/ logos in the codex onto a predator. Scribbled them on with pencil and then tidied with a pen first, then paint. Very wip still but the basic designs all marked out now.
