Everyone knows that dwarves have a hatred of all green skins - orcs, goblins, snotlings, etc, but how does this apply to combat against the Arachnarok Spider ?

One of the 8th ed changes is that the crew cannot be attached as the Arachnarok isn't classified as a ridden monster (unless taken by a great shaman), as such attacks are made against the Arachnarok itself, using its own WS, toughness, I, etc.
So, is the big horrible spider classified as a green skin as it has goblin crew, or not, allowing the short bearded ones to re-roll misses in the 1st round of H-H ?

It isnt a greenskin, as it isnt a Goblin, etc.

It's got greenskins as part of it's combined profile.
I would give the dwarves the re-rolls.

I miss back when hatred had a downside.

Just a quick 2nd thought;
I'd give the dwarves re-rolls against the spiders, in the same way I'd give the night goblins re-rolls against the gyrocopter.

In terms of Night Gob Vs Gyro, the NG roll to hit against the dwarf pilots WS, so I would say that hatred would apply (no gyro has no WS).

But in the case of the Arachnarok, it has its own WS, the WS of the forest goblins isn't used, so I suggest that hatred doesn't apply.

Odd, My gyrocopter says it is WS4, FAQ's to be M1, T5 S4 A2, and BS-.
That's not a dwarf stat line.

Doesn't the spider have a rule that the crew are treated as part of the spider, but can't be singled out?
So the Dwarves hate part of the spider?

How is that really different then night goblin squig hoppers?

Guess both are in need of FAQ's then. If hatred applied to all entries from the respective army books, i.e. Dwarves hate anyone from the O&G AB, Night Gob hate everyone in the Dwarf AB, then it would simplify things.

Of course that would make giants even more ineffective against dwarves
