Sabaton rocks, but I love the IG theme from Dawn of War so that's my choice music for them now.

My Armies:

- Tacticals and Devastators

I think it fails to describe them though.

Let's be honest, the Imperial Guard would use something orchestal and choiry not rock and metal.

My proposal is this.

When I think "Imperial Guard" I don't exactly think power metal. I also DEFINITELY don't think of Linkin Park. They just make me think of being 13 and very mopey. The only time I'd think of rock music for the Guard would be for the Catachans, and even then it'd have to be all late 60's/early 70's cliche Vietnam stuff.

I admit, I can see a situation where power metal blaring out of speakers on a regiment of charging Russes would be posititvely friggin' badass.

However, I think more orchestras and choirs for the Imperium as a whole.

Oh and if you want something non-orchesta style, I found this. I think this a better Imperial Guard song than the original one, and definitely better than the Linkin Park Song.

Der Konigratzer Marsch? I don't think it's banned in Germany....Don't forget it is a PRUSSIAN song. Hitler just liked it.

But even then I see it as more a MOrdian song than IG as a whole.

Ace Combat in my 40k!?

This would make me want to have an army of IG and paint them all Black and call them the 108th Razgriz Regiment and the Vendettas in the army would have speakers playing this.

Well with the Sabaton song, I don't mean play it on the parade ground, I mean play it to sort of sum up what the guarrd's all about.

Also, for the linkin park song, it's the lyrics you have to listen to.

"We're broken people living under loaded gun
And we can't be outfought
we can't be outdone
we can't be outmatched
we can't be out run
No."

Starship troopers have the best lyrics:

"It's a good day to die when you know the reasons why,
Guardsman we fight for what is right.
A noble sacrifice, when duty calls you pay the price.
For the Imperium I will give my life."

Price of a mile has the best lyrics:

"Hear the sound of the machine gun, echo in the night
Mortars firing, rains the scene
Scars the fields that were once green
It's a stalemate at the frontline, where the soldiers rest in mud"

and

"Know that many men will suffer, know that many men will die
Half a million lives at stake, at the fields of Paschendaele
And as night falls the general calls, the battle carries on"

This is TAILOR MADE for the Imperial guard.
