Hey guys, Im trying to make a template for a space marine drop pod base, can someone measure the widest and tallest parts of theirs and post it, I would apreciate it.

Have you tried using one of the half dozen drop pod templates that already exist?

The are roughly 7"tall and 5" wide at the thickest.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

I don't have a Drop Pod, so I can't help you directly, but I do have an idea that might help. If you have a image editing program that has an option for superimposing a lined grid or adding measurement strips to the edges you could probably figure out the exact measurements on the template you downloaded.

Not the easiest method for sure, but it should work.

Never would have thought of that. Another method, similar, but not the same. Many templates that I have used have a small 1"x1" square on them. Once downloaded, you could take the image into paint, and just count how many squares kit would take to copy and paste for whatever measurement you need.

In case you missed it, because it looks like possibly you did.

I have cleaned out all of the off-topic nonsense. I would remind everyone that tone doesn't convey well in the written medium... posts that seem at first glance to be rude often aren't.

If you see someone posting something that you think is rude, do not just immediately respond in kind. Take a step back and consider whether the words are actually rude, or if you're giving them a tone that doesn't exist.

And if you still think the post is rude, hit the mod alert button rather than responding. No point putting more fuel on the fire

We now return you to your regular scheduled program.

Well, thank Gavin, technically. I do have a pod and can give more measurements if you need them.

Nope general measurements were enough, the width for the plasticard cut out shape, and the height to tell where the wreckage is.
