Someone gave me a box of air brush and i think its a compressor.
Can anyone tell me what im looking at? i have never seen an actual airbrush before other than on a box.
The compressor has a plug , does that mean it doesnt need gas or fuel and is ready to go?
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Another question , i have some really think paints that has separated into clear liquid , and the goo part.
I dont have any beads , or BB gun pellets that people suggested,
so i was wondering if Rare Earth magnet rust or effect the paint?

Looks like you have some kind of all inclusive kit. The compressor is electric and most likely good to go, but I am guessing that it still works. The airbrush looks like a suction fed one. Looks like a much older style though with that big honkin' bottle. If it were me, I hook it all up and test it out with some water in it to see if it works and atomizes correctly. Hopefully someone else with way more experience than newbie me can chime in with more info for you.
As for your separated paints, put in a few small rocks that have been cleaned well. No need to waste good rare earth magnets. I had someone suggest to me the rocks here the other day (specifically a pack from a pet store meant for aquariums) and it has so far worked great for my Vellajo paints.

Don't put rock in your paint. Depending on the mineral they're made of, it'll leech out into your paint, and start coating the inside of the airbrush. Paints may be slightly acidic or alkaline, and that will affect those rocks.
Stainless Steel ball bearings are pretty inert and are a better idea.
The airbrush you have is siphon feed - it sucks paint up. It'll run at a slightly higher pressure and be a bit more awkward to use than a gravity feed - in particular you'll need to be careful not to knock the cup off when changing mix, and the run-through for the new mix to actually come out of the end will be longer than for a gravity feed.
You don't seem to have a regulator there - you need one to be able to control the air pressure going into the brush. The bleeder valve is not it. That's for temporarily isolating the brush (while you take it off for cleaning) and to trap condensate from the compressed air flow.
As for using thinner, it depends on the paints in question. Do not use water in tamiya paints if you have them. You will need to stir it, yes.

Looks like you might want to get a moisture trap to keep water droplets from getting blasted through your airbrush when sprayin (which can really mess up your paint job) as I can't see one in the picture.
Other than that you basicaly screw the hose onto the compressor, screw the hose onto the airbrush and you are set. Though I am not sure how you adjust the pressure as I can't see a gauge anywhere - it should say in the instructions though.
In terms of thinner - depends on what paints you are using as to how much thinner you want to use, however, my Model Air colours get between 1:4 thinner:paint and 1:2 thinner to paint (usually 1:4). For neat GW paints I would add considerably more until it is like milk in flow.
And yes, you need to stir. With the bottles that you have you should be OK using the solid lid and just swirling the paint mix until it is mixed, then leaving it to settle a bit for the air bubbles to pop out, or alternately using a toothpick or coffee stirer to mix it up.
I mix paint directly in my gravity fed brush when I am mixing up small quantities of one off paints without problem, and I bought an extra set of glass feed jars for my suction airbrush that I keep large quantities of pre-mixed paints that I use regularly in - just re-thinning and re-mixing as needed.

Grrrr its not working now.
It worked when i first started, used it to spray some chaos black.
Either it dried inside or something, no paint are been sprayed out now, just air.
Tried using paint thinner to flush it out incase it did dry, but not working.
Now i attach pure water to it, and its creating bubbles in the water container, whats wrong with it >.<

Sounds like the nozel is blocked....
Is it a dual action brush? (pressing down the button triggers air, pulling it back or forwards increases paint)
if not, try seeing if the nozel unscrews and if you can get behind it to see if there's any blockage.

Welcome to the world of airbrushing!
its fun and amazing, and has a learning curve.
I would suggest you start by checking out some of the airbrush tutorials on youtube, and other places.
I would suggest awesomepaintjob.com as well.
Airbrushes can seem a bit complicated at first, but once you learn a few more basics (which the videos and other air brush tutorials can teach you be) I think you will find they are very good.
Best of luck!!

Yeah, it sounds like the nozzle is blocked. Try adding some cleaning solution to a small pot/jar/bowl and swirling the nozzle in it for a few minutes, then take it out and give it a spray of air.

This, various paints have different compositions and require different thinning materials. They should generally say on the bottle which thinner they need, for example Tamiya acrylic paints need Isopropyl alcohol thinner, while things like Humbrol paints need different thinners since they are enamel based.
GW paints also dry fairly fast in the airbrush (in my experience), clean regularly to avoid clogs etc.
