well...me back... apointment was quite good...but we left with happy but non-committal feeling...so it could go either way... was aplying for a job as a nursery nurse for a school...we will see in the future how this turns out...

Awww, I'm sorry man. I know how you feel, although I kept all my Legos, my evil stepmom gave away all my GI Joe toys, including my USS FLAGG aircraft Carrier, the best Christmas present I have ever, or would ever receive.

if your talking about the barbie sized Gijoes, not the small ones, I have a giant tub of them from when i was a kid, never gave any away (im bad at losing my old toys) and the best thing about my neice and nephew is that i can play with my toys and it dosent seem odd (:, I also have a deluxe replica of Darth Vader Gijoe sized, that could change between III Anaken and Vader, it is the cooliest toy/collectible I own although i lost both lightsaber tops a long long time ago, in a galaxy far away (when i lived on eastern coast as a child)

Being someone who converted up 3 playmobile pirate ships and 2 castles to warhammer scale I must say it brings a smile on my face to see this thread

that thought did cross my quite a lot the recent days... the size dictates something at least ogrynlike... i think i would get away with such a conversion more easier as i could declare it a steampunky device...now you really set me on a path here...

I have a spare rocker guy now, you had a good idea to convert him to a Catachan, it would allow me to scratch build a styrene lasrifle, of course this would just be a proof of concept project. Hmmm maybe.

Vik, given your outrageous array of playmobil bits, could you do a size comp pic of a playmobil cowboy/confederate type hat with an ork? I have plans...

will try to do so...but for the right playmobil model you should ask dstein here... he has the right models all around him... but i wiull do my best tomorrow for a neat sizecomparrision...

dave... scratchbuilt lasgun fit for a playmobil model... now that would be awsome! maybe you could get some of these here for a base:





the first one could be for looks only as the fighter couldn´t hold the gun in a good pose...the second gun would be exellent for your idea...pose and details already quite useable...




so update time already!!! the painting competition is at it´s finishing line now and this is my as good as they get entry...: the riveters...














as for fluff...





i am aware that the skin is not what i had originally intended it to look like... but skin is a real toughy for me...much will have to be learned here... tho one thing that competition has teached me is to dilute the paints much more and to aply very thin coats....and many of that...

these three minis here are the first in line...standard bearer is for now the most important mini here as i have to try to get a smooth and crisp white color to the flag... this alone is costing lots of nerves... so a lil praise would be helping^^









the one with the feather in his cap will be the test model for a kilt wearer... tartans i would like to add... currently i am not sure if the red kilt will stay or should be replaced by a black basecoat? and then added with red and white stripes? what do you think?

I REALLY like your Dòmhnall Dubh`s 32th Light Infantry Regiment. That flawless look of WHFB bits and 40K mashed up together in such inventive ways, is absolutely awesome. Those kilts from Victoria miniatures fit in so well too. You must have bottomless bits boxes because you use so many different bits to such great effect. I recently bought two mega bits grab bags from the Warstore and can't wait for them to arrive so I can get converting! I also can't wait for more of your IG and all the other things you will produce.
