Ok this is my first ever time making a beastmen army list ... or a WHFB list for that matter. I have played a lot of 40k so I know a few basic tactics.
Constructive criticism is taken gladly, but please do just comment saying how bad it is. Suggest something to try and imporve it.
I'd also like to say, I'd like to win a few battles, but I want the army to look how I want it to look... Which is most of the reason the Great Bray-Shaman is in there.
Heroes:
Great Bray-Shaman w/ Trollhide
250
Core units:
Gor herd of 14 w/ Additional hand weapons, Standard Bearer, Musician
127
Gor herd of 14 w/ Additional hand weapons, Standard Bearer, Musician
127
Gor herd of 14 w/ Additional hand weapons, Standard Bearer, Musician
127
Chaos warhound unit of 5 w/ Scaly skin
35
Special Units:
Bestigor heard of 10 w/ Standard bearer - Manbane standard
167
Bestigor heard of 10 w/ Standard bearer - Manbane standard
167
=1000
See what you think....
Please give any opinions/changes.

Only ting i see wrong is the 285 point hero is illegal, as you can only have 25% (250 points) of you army in heroes.
Beyond that I don't really know alot about beastmen,
I know when i get charged by a bunch on minotaurs I'm just picking up ghouls left and right
And i know they have a tendency to get shot up so you might want to look into ways to mitigate that.

Thanks
I'll edit that.
Removed the level 4 wizard and put in a unit of 5 chaos warhounds all with scaly skin.
This can combat some of the shooting with the high movement, closing the gap fast and either killing them or diverting the fire (hence scaly skin, and to make up the other 5 points) long enough to get the rest of them close enough to charge.

Haven't got my armybook with me, but I think that the Trollhide is a magic armour, and therefore illegal to put on a shaman. You also can't doublicate a magic item in an army so the Manbene standard can only go on one of the Bestigor units.
Beastmen work best at around 2500-3000 point games imo. Not to say that they can't win at a 1000 points game, but I think that you could increase your chances of winning if you fused the units together.
30 (or so) Gors combined with the Great Bray (I strongly recomend Lore of beast at this size game), will be a fairly strong unit.
Bestigors have ASL, and a unit of 10 models would therfore loose models, that could otherwise strike back. Should you loose combat, which is likely due to lack of rank bonus, you can never be steadfast. A unit of 20 is a decent size for Bestigors.
Should you ever think of expanding on this army a Beastlord and a BSB is obvious choices.
Also Harpies are amongst the best (if not the best) unit in the book.
Single models of Razorgors are good at supporting, getting a flankcharge off, and overrunning is their thing.
Minotaurs are nasty, at bigger games I try to make unit of 7 Minotaurs with a Gorebull (4 wide) AHW, only command you need on theese are the musician, but they really need a Razorgor or Chariot to overrun.

Thanks for the comment
However, I really do not like harpies, they may be good fighters, but they look stupid... And a lot of the game imo is the look of your army on the table.
Which is also why I never field grey minis.
As for the rest of it, I'll edit that when I can, I wrote the list in a store, so I haven't actually bought the codex yet...

The bat wings from the Scourge (Dark Eldar) box with the Daemonettes of Slaanesh should make some pretty cool harpies. That's what I'm planning.
Also, I agree that bigger blocks are much better. I would take 15 Bestigors and two units of 20+ Gors. I would then take two units of Chaos Hounds. That should be pretty good for 1k Two screens are better than one!

One thing is that you can't take the Manbane standard twice; only one unit can have it. I would consider getting the other unit the Flaming Banner.
Edit: While Trollhide is in fact magic armor (and thus can't be taken by the shaman) Gnarled Hide is a Chaos Gift and gives him a 5+ scaly skin save. Or you could give him a talisman of endurance or preservation for a 5++ or 4++ ward respectively.
2nd Edit: Scaly Skin is cheap, but also fairly pointless. It only gives you a 6+ armor save which will be negated by most weapons. Combined with dropping the second Manbane standard (the Flaming Banner is 25 points less as well) that's some extra models elsewhere.

Ok, I haven't played this list yet, but here's my 1k list.
Beastlord
Axes of Khorgor
Gnarled Hide
Heavy Armor
Opal Amulet
221
Gors 30
FC
235
Ungor Raiders 10
60
Minotaurs 3
AHW
177
Bestigors 15
FC
Manbane
245
Razorgor
55
This is 993 points. It is, of course, just a suggestion. Play whatever you like, but this has just about everything you seem to be looking for. Please note the raiders are there because warhounds don't count towards mandatory core. As an alternative, you could take a greater bray shaman with Gnarled hide and a talisman of endurance for a 5+/5++ magic user. I definitely recommend lore of beasts.

Seems a good list, only thing that puzzles me is the Axes of Khorgor on your Beastlord.
Since he already has Primal Fury he's going to reroll to hit anyway.
So finding another weapon you like, and perhabs give the Minotaurs a musician and you will be good to go.

Oops...Those are the axes I was putting on my Doombull...well, I guess it's not the first time I paid the points for a useless upgrade.
