I'm going to go with top 5, otherwise I'll end up tearing apart my book case for the exact titles and authors. Can we include short stories as well?

i/ Titanicus by Dan Abnett
ii/ Fulgrim by Graham McNeill
iii/ Double Eagle by Dan Abnett
iv/ Horus Rising by Dan Abnett (starting to see a pattern? Haha)
v/ Blood Games by Dan Abnett, part of the compilation Tales of Heresy.

Great choices. Bowden, McNeill, and Abnett make up my favorite trio of 40k writers.

PS: I really wish McNeill was still with GW to be a candidate for the new BT codex.

My Armies:
- Death Wing and Green Wing
- Tacticals and Devastators
- Retired

I havent read the newest night lords novel yet, and the Ciaphas Cain novels would be up there too...

Eisenhorn
Lord of the Night
Soul Hunter
Dark Creed ( w00t, competent Chaosmarines, and that without letting the loyalist side look like a bunch of incompetent fools )
Helsreach ( nice depiction of the Black templars ) / Angels of Darkness; Can't decide which one.

1. Necropolis - Abnett

Love this book, i have re read it 4 times and just think the epic scale of the battle is fantastic, i actually feel the tension and panic of the citizens of Verunhive before the enemy attack. Just a great great book, defo my fave.

2. Eisenhorn novels - Abnett

I bought the Omnibus so i dont view them all as seperate but, what a trilogy! i adored this series and also the sequels with the ravenor series.

3. Colonel Schaffers last chances books - Gav Thorpe

Not a popular choice id imagine but for some reason i really loved these books, especially the one when the tau are first introduced into the world of 40K! The image of that Deathwatch marine bursting through walls smashing up fire warriors is one that will stay with me.

4. Guns of Tanith - Abnett

Awesome book, i find it hard to rank all the Ghosts novels as they are simply fantastic each and every single one of them but this book stands out to me, i love when they come across the enemy stronghold and the Chaos space marine appears!

5. Bloodquest - not sure

Awesome graphic novel and one i loved when i was a young scamp when it first came out, CHOOM CHOOM - the epic description of boltgun shots!!! so good.
