So I'm doing some.. research, I suppose, for a Spore mission I want to make.
Apart from the usual Genestealers, have any other Tyranid organisms ever been reported on a Space Hulk? As much as Genestealers are cool, a mass of rippers descending towards you down a dark, compressed corridor sounds like it works..

Don't know really, though marines other than Terminators have been aboard one, even important ones such as high marshall Helbrecht, so it probably has happened

Fluff wise you could theoretically have pretty much any nid organism on a hulk, depends on how big the corridors are I suppose.
I'm thinking Dead Space 40k! - if you havn't played it youtube it and you could get some good inspiration for a mission

In the Space wolf series (I can't remember which book) they board a space hulk full of mutated tyranids and there was much more than just 'stealers. Do what you will

Lictors or a genestealer cult would be very fluffy as they are both spearhead units.

In Dawn of War II (chaos rising and retribution), the blood ravens inspect a space hulk (the Judgement of Carrion) which is filled with tyranid nasties. They get to fight genestealer of course, but also gaunts, tyranid warriors, etc. Even a carnifex IIRC (although that seems to be a bit far-fetched).

FFG's most recent book for their 'Deathwatch' RPG includes a 'Dagon Overlord' (iirc - Dagon is the local Tyrannid hive fleet in the Jericho Reach), which appears to be a rare (possibly unique - it's complicated) superior warrior strain that both hunts and observes space marines. In the write-up for the beast, there's mention of a space hulk boarding that went bad when the Overlord turned up leading a number of tyrannids in addition to the usual genestealers. This appears to have been a very unusual situation, though, and likely involved a trap set by the Overlord specifically to draw in a group of space marines.

Isn't that similar to the Swarmlord? With all that sentient individual thinking and stuff?

Executing Exarch

Deathwatch is set after the destruction of Hive Fleet Behemoth, but before the arrival of Kraken and Leviathan. And while the Imperium assumes that Hive Fleet Dagon is one of the shattered remnants of Hive Fleet Behemoth, the door is left open to the possibility that Dagon is actually one of the early tendrils of Kraken or Leviathan (of which the Imperium is still completely unaware). So it's possible that the Dagon Overlord is an early form of Swarmlord (though it's possible that swarmlords have their own entry in the book - I don't remember seeing them, but that doesn't mean much). The Deathwatch in the Jericho Reach currently hypothesize that the Dagon Overlord is a "unique" creature that is repeatedly reborn after its body is absorbed back into the swarm. The things that it learns are then carried over to the next time that it is reborn (thus the reason why it seems to prefer hunting and/or observing Space Marine teams - it remembers what it saw after some fashion...). The Deathwatch is hoping that if it can keep the creature from being reabsorbed (either by capturing it or killing it and taking the body) then it might be possible to stop the cycle. It's all merely speculation, though.
