I'm sorry, but I really don't like it. Nothing about it is howling banshee.
The melee weapon is wrong.
There is no pistol.
There is no armor.
There is no banshee mask.
It is obviously a mandrake.
Not a fan at all

You did a decent enough job, but I have to admit that the concept just doesn't work for me. You have taken a very, very identifiable model (both the original and your stand-in) and imho have not done nearly enough to make it look like a not-Mandrake, much less a Banshee.
In the end as long as you are happy that's what counts -

I would agree there is not enough going on here to call it a banshee. The paintjob is good, the Yukata-like pants could use a glaze (water down a brown wash) to bring the almost white highlight back to a midtone. Same applies for the hair, a blue-black glaze would work here.

Horrific Howling Banshee
|
It's very nice and all... but it doesn't scream banshee to me. (heh pun >8) More Tarzan actually. *squeels* Ooh! If your entire army is made up of space apes who are proxied as storm guardians and a farseer standing in as Jane it would fit quite nicely.
But currently it is completely against the overall theme of eldar, more Crone World Eldar or some happy Deldar.
Don't get me wrong, I love the model, it just isn't a Banshee to mee

yea using dark eldar models as eldar aspect warriors, as someone who appreciates eldar fluff this actually upsets me.
Eldar dont like Dark Eldar. Eldar take there aspect shrines seriously. Eldar aspect armor is handed down from gererations and are artifacts and revered. The Howling Banshee shrine takes itself pretty seriously, and using mandrakes a DE model as an eldar aspect is just gross.
How do you call yourself an eldar player? wtf
I would suggest actually reading the book your avatar represents.

Love it, looks good. He's obviously got a sword and a ranged weapon, suits me fine. Smitty, you're being really overly serious. You know it's a game right? They're toy soldiers not idols of some god that cannot be blasphemed. The only issue is whether they're WYSIWYG enough, and I'd say they are. Exodite Eldar might have these as counts as howling banshees, they're savage, wild and mystical

The painting of that model is awesome. but as said earlier, it doesn't really shout Howling Banshee.
Maybe give him a shurkien pistol, and a smooth (not serrated) sword, and it might look a tadge more Howling Banshee, ish.

Only problem I see is if you play against a DE player who use mandrakes. But count as HB, no problem as I se it. Personally, I would have painted the skin really pale and the hair red to tie it to GWs sanctioned models.
And if this little detour from regular Eldars was something that sparked your creativity and will to pick up the brush again(reading between the lines here) I think its great.
In yhe end, I think your models should work with the rest of YOUR army, so if this looks good with the rest of it, knock yourself out. You are good enough painter to get it right without following supposed GW dogma.
Edit: really agree with the above statement that they would do great as scorpions. I wish I was making an exodite army instead of Ulthwe
Edit2: had alook at your gallery ( op) and now im not sure what to make of these banshees, very different style. Interresting

Agreed and agreed.
I think if this was for a savage, Exodite Eldar army, it could look great. Though, this might be better as the sneaky Striking Scorpion then the in your face Banshees. Mandrakes are masters of Shadow, after all.
So yeah, in and of itself, it...looks like a Mandrake. Maybe tattoo markings of the aspect on his skin? Or like others have said, pale skin to match the Banshee's bone armor and flaming red hair. Add on a Shuriken pistol and a few Eldar tats (I think tattoos work REALLY well on this model, can ya tell? XD)
Good luck, and IF you DO do a bigger army of this style, I would LOOOOOOVE to see it.

I also didn't like the concept, but the guy can do what he wants with his toy soldiers regardless of what we think, no need to be rude. Your content in your statement is accurate, but your tone is disgusting. Moving on...

Im not trying to be a hater but.... i really cant see how that looks like a Howling Banshee in any possible way ( i even scroll down the thread to make sure i didnt see the wrong pic )
No armor , no shuriken weapon , no power weapon , not a female.
If you say thats a storm guardian, i might see it 0_- but not banshee...

I love it mate, a job very well done right there
If you run a full squad and don't run any other mandrake models, I see no issue with the use of the mini.

I wouldn't have a problem. Don't the banshees have a screaming part on their helmets? Well, this model certainly has a creepy screaming mouth that I'd say works. My only concern is that he won't look like the rest of the eldar, but I will still be fine playing against it.

Paint job good and all, but it ain't a Banshee. It's a Mandrake with some gems, that's all. Doesn't make it a Scorpion either.
But that's my own opinion. However you should prepare for alot of people saying the same thing.
Now that I think about it, why not convert Lelith Hesperax into a Banshee Exarch? Put her head on a Banshee, the helmet undet her arm, good to go.
Actually, I am gonna do that, thanks for inspiring me!
