Video Games and Art, albeit in a written form (because I cannot draw for toffee).

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I spend most of my time (while not working or doing tabletop related stuff) with sports (Martial Arts to be precise: Jiu-Jitsu), Literature or volunteer work with the local youth.

huh thats something I never thought of, should i put martial arts as its own category or keep it with sports? Since with sports first thing that comes to mind is football(US and UK variants) hockey and baseball.

In your base, ignoring your logic.

I like playing catch and I also enjoy swimming so I'll say sports even though I fell out of being on an actual team in Middleschool because my school didn't have any intramural sports.

I used to play civic league flag football as center and I tried out for football in highschool, but when you dislocate your knee and lose a lot of cartilage in said knee you tend to suffer badly from practice. That and my feet are about a foot apart when my knees are touching.

I enjoy doodling and drawing, I'm trying to learn how to draw like comic artists right now.

Videogaming is something I do for fun of course.

I enjoy shooting and cleaning my weapons, I currently own three rifles; a .22, an SKS, and a Mosin Nagant. I like buying ammo for the Nagant because I get 1,000 rounds in a wooden crate with two metal cases and a can opener. Stupid Russians messed up screws, I mean how can you put the slot to one side of the screw instead of the middle of the screw? I had to use a hammer, still fun to buy though because I feel like a 3rd world dictator.

I also work at a toy store, and not the adult novelty kind of toy either.

My other hobbies atm include but are not limited to:

Powerlifting. I've been powerlifting for about a year now and have my first competition coming up in September. Really looking forward to it.

Motorcycling. I've got two motorbikes which break down on me with metronomic regularity but as long as they keep providing thrills then I'll keep fixing them up.

Computer games - namely the Command and Conquer series. Working my way through the whole lot of them.

There are others but I've only just got up; I might add some as they spring to mind.

Another mission, the powers have called me away. Another chance to carry the colours again. My motivation, an oath I've sworn to defend. To win the honour of coming back home again.

I knew I forgot some categories XD, Computer Games obviously just get thrown in with Video Gaming, however working out and automotives are simply unforgivable on my part

Sports and roleplaying.

I thought about video games, but figured it doesn't really count because I haven't played a game in about a year. Though it's probably been about as long since I roleplayed, and I didn't hesitate to tick that as an answer.

Perhaps 'arguing on dakka' should be an option?

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

I started doing Krav Maga about 18 months ago and I haven't looked back. I first heard about this strange sounding martial art from a friend who I found out to my surprise had been doing it for nearly three years without my knowledge and when I heard that it was designed by and for the Israeli special forces and had since been adopted by British and American special forces and intelligence services I HAD to find out more.

I really do recommend this incredible system of self defence. It doesn't have anything showy like kata's that are found in other arts but is based around a very practical way of defending yourself that is based on VERY powerful counter attacks that are designed to take someone down HARD and FAST with the minimum of fuss.

I would just like to say that I don't think that there is anything wrong with practicing kata and I fully appreciate there place and purpose. I just prefer a more, dare I say, realistic way to train rather than the spiritual 'inner self' thang.

My Karate School also teaches Krav Maga - which I would also recommend to anyone who wants to learn self-defense, or just wants a good workout.

I haven't ever come across schools that do the whole spiritual thing. Isshinryu is a practical form of self-defense. Most of what is taught is practical, and very little is "showy" - and the little that is they designate as so.

I do have to say I have been curious about Krav Maga, however I live in wyoming, so odds of me finding someone to train are probably 1/1000000 which is really bad considering the population is under 1 million
