When I run havoks I give them 4 autocannons. Effective? I'm not sure but its something no one else can have so for that reason, I take it.
Put them on a 2nd floor, shoots rhinos good.

Four autocannons is pretty good. Four missile launchers is pretty good. Four lascannons is too expensive, and you won't need four heavy bolters since you have plenty of anti-infantry as is. Never mix and match with them, and keep in mind there are better units competing for the Heavy Support slot. A unit with four autocannons does sound pretty cool though!

I mix Missile launchers x 2 with autocannons x 2. Very effective against eldar In my experience.

That is a very good tactic, I have used it aswell on the pointy ears.

I find the main reason behind Havocs is indeed autocannons, our predators arn't worth it and generally I find a squad of 6 (2 meat shield buddies) w/ 4 auto's incredibly effective for its point cost, esp when you factor in how the opponent is going to have to devote some fire power to taking them out, even more so when getting them that 4+ cover save is so incredibly easy.

And I personally weep when I see ANY form of las cannon or heavy bolter in havocs. This is both a bad format for them and generally live on other units.

My general mainstay is 10 havocs, 4 missiles and the mark of chaos glory with the unit in cover. Hard to remove, does great damage from afar and can be versatile.

Got to be Autocannons and Missile Launchers all day long.

4 Auto cannons for 155 pts in a 5 man unit is an excellent use of points, i do like putting a couple of meat shield guys in the unit as well.

Every single shot used on them takes fire away from my Trio of Khorne carrying Rhinos and Vindicators.
