I wasn't sure, I was looking for a tutorial on making (Actually building) a gaming table, and also a tutorial that shows how to make basic terrain (ie; The Ground, hills, water).

I want to make a city fight table, and a openfield table.

Thanks! ^^

BTW: Not sure if this is in the right area, please move it if it's not?

I'm working on one.
It's a 3 piece board (3 pieces of 4'x2' 15mm MDF) that is designed to be slightly modular (it is double sided. One side is painted with an urban city streets layout, the other is a desert landscape with a couple of large tracks (roads). The roads enter and leave at specific points, and they ALL line up, no matter which way around the board is oriented [as long as the board is flat, not up on one edge].

My terrain is all based (hills, rivers, buildings, ruins, whatever). ALL of the urban pieces are designed to fit into the spaces on the urban board left between the roads. It's easier to store a flat board and based terrain in my small shed.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Here's the article I did on one: http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Game_Table_Plans

The following article presents plans for building a 4x6 gaming table, with gutters along the long table edges for models not-yet deployed, casualties, and beers.

Love it. Build me one.

Thanks so much guys! I'm so tired of using tissue boxes and assorted other things for terrain xD

That would be most helpful.

I'll be moving in with some friends soon, and I really want a table, but given the space it will have to be mobile. I'm thinking a 4'x6' picnic table with a Battle Mat and all modular terrain. Anyone else do this?
