So I posted a thread over in the Painting and Modelling section asking about Dakkites experiences with Expanding Foam Filler as a modelling material after deciding to go Blue Peter and make some scenery.

The scenery is made entirely from foam filler and Original Source shampoo bottles. These are the first shots of the scenery, only the rock has been based and there is another Obelisk currently drying outside aswell as a probably failed hard point.

I've popped in a second hand OOP Lord that I've disassembled ready to be stripped just for perspective.

Obelisk:

Rock:

I'll post more pics as I paint them up and pop them in to a mini diorama with my army when I'm done.

Painting with white is like taking three steps backward for every two forward.

Here's the finished rock, just based in skull white and wash with two coats of Gryphonne Sepia. The more interesting stuff is still to come.

The two obelisks are outside drying off after the base coat, when I've washed the base I'll take some more pics.

OK, here's the first almost finished Obelisk (It's shiny because the base is still drying):

Paint job is gash because I had the cleaver idea of washing the black areas with two layers of badab black which cancelled out the dry brush of adeptus battle grey. The green was ok untill I put the scorpion green over the goblin green and kind of ruined it.

The damaged obelisk is up next, just got to do some my dry brushing, the green and the base and it'll be ready for pics.

So here's the damaged obelisk:

I'm a bit happier with how this turned out! Again, the base is wet and the model just needs a second coat of Gryphonne Sepia and maybr a little bit of work on the green.

They came out rather nicely.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

The textures inside the broken one look nicely unearthly, although the basing looks more suited to a daemonic realm than a tombworld. Keep it up, fella.

Simple yet stylish. Might try this out that day when I finally come around to doing that Necron dio...

I won't bother.
