I'm making a very fluff based radical Inquisitor army and I was wondering how tolerant they would be about training/using Xenos and mutants to sever their purposes.
Since I'm going to use Corteaz to field the warbands as troops should I make a costume mini to represent his rules since from what I've read he's a very by the book kind of guy.

So with a somewhat complex background story would this be possible? And not instantly deemed super heretical?
Also I was confused about the fluff talking about some DCA being dedicated to Khorne, so do they worship him and why would they be allowed to?

Ordo Xenos Inquisitors do make use of Xenos artifacts, and occasionally ally with non-hostile xenos, as their job description basically comes down to "figure out which xenos want to kill us, how we can kill them, and keep the ones who don't currently from wanting to if we can't spare the forces to wipe them out at the moment", in addition to more mundane matters of hunting down artifact smugglers and whatnot. Ravenor and Eisenhorn work with Eldar, and Ravenor later uses wraithbone artifacts. There's an Inquisitor in the second Gaunt's Ghosts book who leaves with the Eldar at the end, and there are mentions to Inquisitors occasionally being allowed into/taken to the Black Library by Harlequins.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

The fluff says that while some death cults are linked to khorne (which are found and destroyed by the inquistion) other death cults are full believers in the Emperor and are used by the inquisition.

Radicals have no real issues using whatever tools/people they can to get the job done, but they wouldn't keep them/stay with them once their usefullness has run out.

Sweet thanks for the replies, quite excited about the conversions.

I also want to use a Commissar mini for a part of the warband or the Inquisitor himself, can/do Commissar ever get "promoted" to be an Inquisitor?

No...
One might be included in an Inquisitors retinue but they probably won't become one...

Sad day, too bad their stats would go down if I field them as warriors, why must their minis look so cool?!

You could still use the model for an Inquistor...
Who's to say he isn't trying to fool some Imperial people into not shooting at him?

The Inquisition is a completely separate entity from the Commissariat, indeed from any other Adeptus or Ordo within the Imperium as a whole. The Inquisition has their own High Lord of Terra, and there are no (save 2, the Custodes and the God-Emperor, Himself) organizations in the Imperium free from an Inquisitors authority.

A Commissar may, in the course of his career, gain the notice of an Inquisitor and be invited to join his retinue, and then, overtime, be found as a viable candidate to become an Interrogator (apprentice Inquisitor) and, ultimately, be sponsored for advancement to the rank of Inquisitor by the Inquisitor who trained them and/or other, allied Inquisitors.

How would this work on the table-top? I have no idea, other than to say that your Commissar model counts as an Inquisitor, with all the stats and abilities of an Inquisitor, and none of those of a Commissar.

It is, however, *highly* unlikely that a Commissar would be included in a Radical's retinue. Commissar's are not known for their... fluid interpretations of the Imperial Creed.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
