Subject: Star Wars Prequels, Why Lucus..just why!!!
Before anyone posts If you like these flims then more power to you so I won't hate or make fun of you for what you think.
That being said these movies are some of the worse flims to come out in the past few years...and when I mean bad I mean it's poorly acted, dumb directing, and just everything about these movies are just plain wrong. You take a great trio of flims that have been a part of many childern's childhood...and you take a big on it. Anyway, what do you guys and gals think?

I think that this topic has been discussed a thousand times too many. The last movie came out in 2005, so that's almost 6 years of us ranting about it. Time to lay it to rest I say.
I won't bother.

A guess from your avatar tells us you are one of those people, doesn't it?

Well, it also annoys those with the taste to recognize terrible films whenever people who enjoyed them talk about them either. There is no winning really.
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Yes I am , I enjoy the Prequels because of the Droids design not voices and the attempt to be comical , I'm a fan of the Separatists due to their Droid army design. . I think Jar Jar Binks helped ruin Star Wars reputation and the Attack of the Clones was a OK film, Revenge of the Sith is a good film in my opinion and had several of the best fight scenes in the Prequel series.
The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.
This is, in every sense of the word beating a dead horse.
Personally. I thought the Clone Troopers were badass. I still do. But the fact these Space Spartans show more personality then Strom Troopers is the only thing that bothers me about them.
I've sold so many armies. :(

I Liked the Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith.
I don't think Jar Jar, was the worst thing to happen in Star Wars, I think the kid Actor in the 1st movie was way worse than Jar Jar. Other than that I enjoyed Liam Neeson, and the Trade Federation plotline. I thought the Droids were pretty neat. This movie of course gave us Darth Maul as well.
Attack of the Clones is a Snoozer, I didn't really enjoy that one much, except maybe the last half hour. Whiny Anakin made it worse.
I liked Revenge of the Sith, for the action scenes, and how Palpatine came to be. Overall Anakin wasn't as whiny, and despite him being still a terrible actor, it wasn't as bad as Attack of the Clones.
Overall, they are not near as good as the others, but for the most part I still enjoy watching Episode 1 and 3 on occasion.

One word: Droidekas! Awesome name, awesome concept.

I think you took a long time to see them, or a long time after you seen them to decide they suck.
That aside I enjoyed them immensely first time around, they were still Star Wars, however they were on the watch and ignore category of film. Were I not forewarned of their disappointing nature I may have been disappointed, but because I was I just sat back and enjoyed the ride. I can watch the original trilogy anytime, I don't hate Phantom Menace but I have no yearning to reach over to a shelf and pop it into my DVD drive unless I happen to be watching all six. The other two got better but still had humungous plot holes that you can only enjoy the film if you choose to ignore them through your own Jedi will.
I do not blame Hayden Christiansen or any of the other actors, they all did as good a job as they could with the material given them. Even Jar Jar was well 'played' and had good CGI, it was not the fault of the technical team, the guy in the armature suit, or those interacting with him that made him annoying That failure and all others are Lucas's alone.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
They're great as bile treatment, for when you need to be confirmed in your 'hate' for the prequels.
If you liked the movies then these reviews might not be to your liking.

Silver, you heretic!
My take on Episodes 1-3 is as follows...
Art Direction - Great (for the most part - a few creatures look rubbish)
Music - Great (John Williams, living proof that you don't necessarily lose it as you get older)
Special Effects - Good, but over used
Story - Actually pretty good, if you strip the script away (see below)
Costumes - Fairly good in most cases, though Portman was cursed with some awful outfits
Script - Really badly written, it comes across like a first draft written by a 16 year old fan, Lucas should have given it someone else like Lawrence Kasdan
Acting - Terrible, how did good actors like Natalie Portman, Samuel L Jackson and Ewan McGregor suddenly lose every scrap of talent under Lucas's direction? Ian McDiarmid and Liam Neeson were the only ones to emerge with credibility intact. Anakin was woefully miscast in both cases.
Directing - Lucas is still a very creative individual, but that's pretty much where his talents end. In the end, he lacked the ability to bring some admittedly good ideas into a cohesive whole.
Indeed. I just don't really get why they are so popular. Yes, for the time, they had pretty epic stories and effects, but the acting, script and even storyboards have been really poorly done (1-3 are especially bad for this).
It is kind of like the films turned up to play table tennis at the ice hockey rink - it new it was supposed to be playing something, but failed to deliver in every meaningful way.
