So I have plenty of models for dark eldar, orks and wolves. Which would make a more competitive list for a 1000 point tournament. And if so. What would your list look like? I know this is a vague topic but any input would be greatly appreciated

At 1000pts, not many armies have the equipment for numbers. You could do 120 boys with a warboss and some nobs. Make 30 boys shoota, and the other 90 move forward with the warboss taking point in his nob squad, maybe in a trukk.

That's won't work very well against Purifier GK armies though.

I haven't played wolves yet, but other SM armies I like to take a librarian for leader, a land raider with a CC armed squad inside, not much can take out a LR at only 1k pts. An assault marine squad normally does good, and possibly 10 man split combat squad tactical squad for fire support, or just 5, depending on the points all toll.

I don't know anything about Dark Eldar.

Green Tide Orks. I recently ran 1750. And did pretty well. Each of my opponants were just dismayed at the number of boyz on the field. Here's what I suggest. 3 single model units of Deff koptas. Because I love Suicide koptas. Use them to Outflank, and take out enemy armor. A Big mek with KFF to give your boyz cover as they run across the field. And as many boyz as possible. Don't worry about Ard boyz. Just a huge horde. I like Boom Gunz for there range and large template and AP3. But this list should be about numbers. You'll triple the models of your enemies.

Most marine armies don't start clicking until 1500, so the wolves are out. I haven't tried my DE at 1k yet, but something like this ought to be good:

x2 Haemwyche raider (FF) - 9 girls, haywires, Hekagoniser. 208 each + 60 point haems with Liquifiers
x2 Trublaster Venoms (extra SplintCan) 173 each
x1 Ravager FF 115

~950 in points, leaving options for a hekatix blast pistols, wyche weapons or more toys for the haems.

Orks? Lotsa options, but BW/KFF and trukks seems best for 1k.

From a friend I have heard that DE at 1k can be extremely brutal and quite difficult.
Orks would be able to do the most just swarm em very few things can combat that but dont think your unbeatable.

I personally think orks because of all the fire power needed to kill the mobs of them. At a 1000 points try to imagine the other armies firepower need to destroy that. Most lists will have it's firepower divided into elite killers (MEQ) and Horde killers and that will cripple their army when it comes to shooting the orks down.

Depending how competitive it is a BA list can be nasty with 3 vindicators 2 baal preds and 2 razorbacks.

At 1k that can be devastating.
