Anyone been able to pull it off? I was shocked at how small the Venoms are, and I'm wondering if I'm actually going to be able to rig an LED setup inside. I was planning on designing the battery holder as some kind of exhaust system, but even that seems too small...

I am somewhat unsure of the size required for this, so this is a bit of a shot in the dark...but if it is just a couple wires and a watch battery, couldn t you rig it up in the nose of the thing? Depending on the size, you could drill out the spot for the splinter rifles/cannon so you could replace the battery there and then magnet the gun so it just snaps on to the battery...? Dunno if that is helpful or not, just off the top of my head.

"The scions of the Dark City would never admit that the unceasing hunger at their core is what drives them to such heights of cruelty. Instead they maintain that they act only upon their own desires. Some have even managed to convince themselves of this. In truth, unless our cousins in the webway feed upon a constant diet of extreme emotion they will slowly wither away, leaving naught but a soulless husk. We of the Craftworlds deny all such urges, and in doing so become less than ourselves. Perhaps it is those that we left to perish who are the lucky ones." - Spiritseer Iyanna Arienal, Meditations. |

A watch battery, a small amount of hookup wire, an LED (or more, depending on whether you use 5mm or 3mm) and a single resistor should be able to fit with no issues (you'll probably have to hide the battery under the rear 'platform').

Another alternative is to do a scenic base and hide the battery under that. You can easily conceal the wire against the support pole. Also from experience I have found that at least part of the casing of watch batteries is magnetic. I use this to get a good position for contacts, however don't try to solder directly onto the magnet as it depolarises it :(
