I'm quite partial to dubstep; it breaks a lot of boundaries that no other genre has managed. I know that dubstep caught on quicker in the UK (since it's a natural progression of electro), so I want to ask everyone if they have any recommendations within the genre. Actual quality dubstep is pretty hard to find, but I'll post some of what I enjoy here.

Skrillex is the only dubstep guy I've heard, he ain't bad at all.
"Order. Unity. Obedience. We taught the galaxy these things, and we shall do so again."
"They are not your worst nightmare; they are your every nightmare."
"Let the galaxy burn!"
Aw man I just recently got into this stuff. I only know of a couple that I really dig. One is kindda dubstep with some vocals, but I cant get the damn song out of my head.
Its too repetitive for me... Never listened to it before, but I feel like I'm listening to a random assortment of noises basically that repeat themselves in pattern for 3-4 minutes... without the redeeming quality of normal music (having words that I can sing along to...)...
and how the hell do you dance to this?

If you heard repetitive dubstep, you were definitely listening to the wrong artist. The whole point of the 'wobbles' is that they break common musical form; if they follow a basic pattern, it's just pointless noise. Also, I don't often listen to lyrics, but there's a bit of dubstep with Hip Hop lyrics that's somewhat enjoyable.

I couldn't resist.

Pink Floyd was your citation for 'electronic music'? Really?
It's not the 70's anymore, bro.

If you actually listened to the song you would know that it is in fact electronic music, also I never said that type of music represents Pink Floyd as a whole (it doesn't). Just because an artists is known for a certain
genre doesn't mean they can't experiment with others.

As much as I like most electronic music, the thought of any of it being a progression from any other similar music just makes me LOL thinking of the heated debates that you know are going on because "WUBWUBWUBWUBWUB" is so much cooler and more progressive than "WUBWUBAwooomWUBWUBAwooom."

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.
