Hey everyone! I've lurked around these boards a bit. I've just gotten into Warhammer 40k recently, and gotten my first squad finished, plus my HQ! Lotsa pictures. These were taken with my phone though, nothing too special. A lot of colors are off. I chose not to paint the Assault Marines' helmets yellow, I thought they looked nicer red.

Here's a general shot of everybody.

The Librarian close-up.

The back.

My assault sergeant. This guy's my pride and joy. Made the bandolier for his meltabombs (which aren't that pronounced of an orange, either), plus his halo, from scratch.

Back. You can see a bit of the shield here.

Some special troopers. Flamethrower and two meltaguns, all converted AoBR marines. The colors are noticeably off in this one. :(

Some of the assault marines close up. The middle guy has some battle damage.

Back sides. Also showin' off the Jump Packs.

That's all folks! Lemme know what you think. ^^

They look fine to me,you can see a slight colour variance but to be honest its no big deal. The halo i don't quite get/like but again its not massively important.

Well, I wanted to go along with the whole "Angels of Death" thing, but didn't want to overdo it putting halos on everybody. So I figured it'd be a neat way to help mark the Sergeant.

And thanks!

These are looking really nice! Main thing for me, however, is the bases. It's really the first thing I noticed and I have two points to make about them. First, I'm not sure if the green goes with the red armour. Perhaps try a grey/ash/black rocky scene. Or even a beige/yellow/red desert look. If your set on the greenery then Í suggest doing another coat of it. Not too thick! Other than this no other comments. Great job and hope to see more!!

For a first squad they are pretty cool. Just out of interest, are these the first table top mini's you have painted?
If so then extra plus points for you.

Yeah I was thinking the bases came out a bit too bright on the edges. I like to think my marines are setting foot on rolling plains, to a degree. In any event I may try and darken up the green, it sorta doesn't match the grass.

Yeah, first tabletop minis. I assembled a few wood elves yeeears ago (like 4-5) but they never even made it to the priming stage.
