My newest completed work. C&C is certainly welcome and appreciated.

The camo pattern is hand-painted, not airbrushed. The large platoon chevrons and squadron numbers were homemade stencils. I realize that weathering is popular right now, but I've always been a "fresh-from-the-factory" sort of painter There are more pics as well as some fluff at my blog if you're interested.

Very impressive, especially since it isnt airbrushed. Looks like it took quite a lot of effort

This is some wondrous detailing here. The only part that scares me is the big number 2 there. That means 1 is behind me, ready to go ka-SMITE!

Very cool.

Sihamoni takes great pride in the league he helped create, as was conveyed in his recent advertising campaign for the CMFL that stated his midgets will "... take on anything; man, beast, or machine."

Thank you for the kind replies so far.

Yeah, I estimate about 40-50 hours from unassembled, bare resin to what you see here. An airbrush and some oil fliters would have probably cut that time in half!

Believe it or not, I put this thing together about ten years ago From what I can remember, there weren't any miscast or warped parts, and the most fiddly part of the kit is assembling all of the wheels and track sections. Even then, there were far fewer pieces than any of their current large kits.

I've been trying to get my hands on one of these for a while now. Forgeworld have told me that they have no plans to reproduce it ever again so I'm stuck trawling ebay. Looks really nice, good job, deffinately nicer than the plastic kit.

Very impressive, the colours compliment each other very well. It also looks like it is very well modeled.

Very nice - I really like the cannon on the forgeworld Baneblade in preference to the one on the GW kit. Very nice paint job too.

Okay, I've been on a bit of a hiatus 2011-14

Oh-ho haven't seen one of these beasties in a long time..

The paint scheme is very neat and crisp, but I think a little wear and tear would make the model go a long way. Maybe a little sponging of metallic paints or using oil paints to simulate grease between the rivets/running gear.

I was sad to see they stopped making them, as well. But there has to be a lot floating around out there, because the certificate number I have is #1006 and that was back in 2001. I'd love to have a matching pair, but I doubt that will ever happen!

As I said, it's a preference for neat and clean paintjobs. There is actually a heavy wash over the entire vehicle, so there is quite a bit of definition between rivets and seams in the armor plating. However, I do intend to practice some of the techniques you mentioned on some Ork vehicles. I figure even if it looks really bad, it'll still look Orky.
