Hey everyone, I new to Warhammer/40K... I have done some research on the SM and came up with this army. Please evaluate it and tell me what I could do to make it better.

HQ:
Space Marine Librarian
-Terminator Armor
Total 125 pts.

Troops:
Scout Squad,
-Sniper rifles,
-Missile Launcher,
Total 85 pts.

Tactical Squad,
-5 additional Marines,
-Flamer,
-Heavy Bolter,
Total 170 pts.

Dedicated Transport:
Drop Pod,
Total 35 pts.

Heavy Support:
Predator,
-Side Sponson Heavy Bolters,
Total 85 pts.

Grand Total 500 pts

Im assuming your tac marines are 10 strong. In that case your list could prove to be fun.

Yeah 10 TAC is correct...

i'd take a Rhino instead of a drop pod at this point level, just my opinion, but if DP works use it!.

It would be cool if you dropped the termy armor on that libby and dropped the DT off the TAC squad and replaced them with a landspeeder. You could then use the Libbys Gate power to warp the Tac squad around, its what i've been doing because i lack funds for another rhino haha.

overall i like it, the pred does great in small games and will really hurt haha.

I'll take that under advisement...

Looks very competitive. Here is my list that i am about to purchase some of. Not nearly as competitive as yours. I may need to alter it.

I like the razorback btw. 5 extra points for a TL Heavy Bolter at 500pts sounds like WIN to me. I'd lose the termy armour maybe, and one marine, throwing the libby in with the marines would make him more maneuverable. Then again i've never used a libby so i don't know if that'd just get him killed.

I don't know much about the Librarian's power or if he would get crushed with out that extra armor...

Can any one chime in on this?

I would suggest a multimelta or a rocket launcher on the TAC squad if you are podding in. Drop in, combat squad, and ace armor next turn.
