I have read a lot in discussion about our tech and army's against Imperium. Some even get to conclusion that we are better even from an Astartes ( that we would kick their ass in invasion ) etc... To make a long story short, people have counted all elements except one: we never fought any aliens. So what do you think, could we defend against 1 of those attacks? I would love to hear opinions for : Orks, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tyranids, Necrons, Tau Empire, Chaos. ( i don't include Chaos Daemons because we are to easy prey for them ).

Orks, yeah
Eldar, yes
Dark Eldar, completely
Tau, yes.
Chaos and others, no.

Orks: No - They will crash an asteroid into the planet, then even if we defeat the initial waves the spores are already in the air, amazon? full of feral orks, african jungle? full of feral orks, any large forests? full of feral orks. The Orks will either completely destroy us in one invasion, or slowly face-rape the earth in the years that follow.

Eldar/Dark Eldar: Yes - They have superior weaponry etc etc, but tend to perform surgical raids on specific targets, not go for whole planets and the like.

Tau: Yes - but if/when they get an updated codex we may be in trouble

Chaos: No - same reason as space marines in previous threads (OR the trusty Iron Warriors Virus bombs maybe?)

'Nids: No - absolutely no chance, we wouldn't even survive the preliminary attacks (the whole spores raining down, genestealer and lictor infestation)

Necrons: No - If they have trouble killing crons (and keeping them dead) in the 41st millenium with their incredibly advanced technology, how are we supposed to manage with our bullets and primitive explosives. What are we going to do, stick fridge magnets to them and hope it makes them malfunction and sing folk songs

I suspect that no matter how many guns the US and Canadian members may have, the membership of DakkaDakka would be screwed in the event of a full-on alien invasion.

We are very weak against virus or foreign organism 's intrusion into our system.

1 virus carrier sent by alien can potentially wipe out all of earth in matter of days before we can engineer any cure ( assuming the aliens havnt engineered the virus that can resist anything we can come up with )

If any of the forces decided to wipe us out they could do it without any problem.

The Orkz would completely destroy us. They are the best race in the 41st milenium. The Eldar and the Marines themselves said so. They will come and crach their ships on something. If we kill them, their spores will just float to safety. Their dreads can destroy entire cities. They can open portals to the warp and make demons come out (if they roll a 12 xD). Our best hope would be nucear weapons, but even then they'd just bring more orkz and Waaagh! untill the planet is theirs.
