So what is your favorite Oblivion Character you've ever made?
Mine would have to be my Orc Warlord;
Race: Orc
Gender: Male
Sign: The Atronach
Strength
Willpower
Heavy Armor
Blunt
Athletics
Destruction
Armorer
And I forget what else I had. But lets face it, not much is going to stand up to a Berserking Orc with a two handed axe that ignores 50% of the Magical Attacks sent his way.
But, with all the talk of Skyrim, I was wondering what other people did to pass the time in Oblivion. What's your favorite character? Maybe we can all show eachother different ways of playing we might not have thought of before, to try to make it interesting again.

My Breton mage. Alchemy got me cash as I scraped through the Wizards guild until I got to create spells, then created ultra-powerful spells that cost sod all magicka and won the game.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Dark Elf The Thief Speed Luck Sneak Light Armour Blade Illusion Athletics Acrobatics Destruction I ran around dressed as a beggar stealing stuff. Joined the Thieves Guild and stole some more stuff, i ended up stealing a lot of stuff. Any fight i couldn't handle i whacked them with a calm spell and pegged it before the spell wore off, or used invisibility... Interesting note, it is possible to make a 100% chameleon suit but make sure you are wearing all the pieces because otherwise you end up in some tricky situations...

Not the most logical, but fun and actually fairly effective when in full Crusader gear.
What difficulty do people play on? I normally play one or two notches above default, but would like to know what other people play.

It looks very powerful with Bretons. Considering Absorbation is counted before Resist, you have 50% being absorbed, then 50% resisted, leaving Bretons taking only 25% magic damage.

Mine was the stock-standard Khajiit Thief that I did basically everything in the fething game with. After you get the Dark Brotherhood stuff you pretty much stomp through the game.

Plus you can make uber-potions with lvl 100 alchemy (by far easiest and fastest skill to power level with) to add more res/absorb (I'm pretty sure...)
And I agree, Dark Brotherhood gear ( lvl 25+) is easily some of the very best in the game

I actually never got that into my Oblivion characters. Though my fav was an Ork fist fighter, that was heavy armor. I left the chest piece off for that dramatic effect. He was alot of fun to play with, it was certainly interesting beating the gak out of "gods" with my fists

Race: Dark Elf Sign: The Apprentice Favored Attributes: Endurance, Luck Class: Nerevarine Major Skills: Blade Block Heavy Armor Destruction Restoration Security Sneak This was a continuation of my character in Morrowind. To represent this, I gave him the same hair and facial features, but made him significantly older. The fact that I was able to do this was one of my favorite parts about Oblivion. I didn't have to (completely) lose the character I spent a good 500 hours with in Morrowind, and the game felt so much better through the eyes of the old Nerevarine.

My original character which I'm still using. He's an Argonian with long spikey, spike things that cool. He's scales are an almost iridescent purple and blue.
I didn't what the hell I was doing at first so I bought magical weapons that shouldn't have because I didn't have the skills to repair or charge them. Totally went broke and became a hobo for like several game weeks, sleeping in rainy alleyways in the Imperial City. Applied myself to the trade of Blacksmithing and turned it around and got back to saving the world. Could've restarted but we've been through a lot me and that Lizard!

Blacksmithing? Bah. Alchemy and stealing things is where the big money is. Gather everything in a huge heap, pick it all up, pop a potion of feather and run to the nearest safe chest.

I have had countless character none of which have reached past level 20 or so. Never have I played through a game tutorial so many times(yet I have no idea why). But my current character is as follows: Name: John(very fantasy style name there haha) Race: Imperial Sign: Warrior Strength Endurance Now given the above ull probly guess what my character is like. Major Skills: Armourer - To fix weapons Blade - I love swords Block - I want to live Alchemy - Potions and poisons Conjuration - Where did that skeleton come from?? Light Armour - My fav arnour is the Shrouded and Glass armours so always wear them. Marksman - Love long distance shots to weaken my prey. Mixed bag of skills there as you can see haha. Cureently my guy is an arena bum, IE fights in the arena just to have some dry place to sleep. Currently have only seen Jauffre to start the main quest. Other than that hes a pretty new character. On a side not just had a scare there, the High Elf spellwarrior just broke both my weapons so I was left to punch her to death, luckily I made her fall which let me get in the killing blow .
