Hi everyone.
I just thought I would post some stuff about an Upcoming Campaign Weekend for Warmachine/Hordes, that is being held later this year in the UK, so here goes.
The Campaign Weekend will be held on the 19th-20th November, at Maelstrom Games in Mansfield, England, UK.
This Event is being run by the Tempus Fugitives, which some of may have heard of, and have been running gaming events (Warhammer 40k and Fantasy), for quite a few years now, in fact, its got to be at least 5+ years, and at an average of Three(3) events a year, their has been quite a few.
Anyway, the Tempus Fugitives have decided to branch out into the excellant Warmachine/Hordes world, with Warmachine Factions going up against other Factions and Hordes armys alike.
The players usally get put into Factions of the same army (e,g: all Cygnar players together).
This will be the Tempus Fugitives First Warmachine/Hordes event, but if any of the past events are to go by, it will be alot of fun indeed, as the point of these Campaigns are Firmly pointed at having fun, no matter if you win or lose your games, so any player that likes to win at any cost, most likely won't enjoy themselfs as much, as others.
Now then, the Current version of the Event Pack is online, with the next update going up sometime this coming weekend.
You see, the event packs most often have Campaign Specific units that players can choose to convert up if they want to, but there's no presure to do so (some players like to, some don't).
The reason the Campaign event pack goe's up in stages is so that players can give feedback on what they see, before the pack gets finalised.
Anyway, More details can be found at:
http://www.tempusfugitives.co.uk/
Hope you like what you see.
Onwards and Upwards.
SG.
Note: The Tempus Fugitives are also a member of the Gaming Club Network, aka: GCN.
EDIT: Event Date Change, as noted above, its now on the 19th-20th November, 2011.

Pity you guys are in the UK, I'd love to attend this. If you guys do them long enough, will you do weekends with alt lists kinda like the 40K campaigns?

Its early days yet, with only the First basic version 1.0 of the event pack being online, but hopefully the next version of the event pack will be updated over the next few days.
Hope that helps.

So how long does it take to get the confirmation email? I would love to see the event information, I've been reading the background on the event, and it makes me wish I was able to be across the pond.

Hi all.
Here's the full event details:
The First Armada - A Tempus Fugitives Narrative Campaign Weekend for Warmachine and Hordes
12th & 13th of November 2011 - Maelstrom Games, Mansfield
The First Armada Campaign Pack
BACKGROUND: At first the recent volcanic eruption in the Sea of a Thousand Souls was more of interest to sailors needing to avoid the hazard and to the worshipers of Menoth who saw such primal activity as a portent of the creator’s divine hand at work. As the eruption increased in intensity and an island chain formed around the spewing gouts of magma, ships began to scout the ash clouds wreathing the new islands. When reports came to the nations of the Iron Kingdoms that the hulks of ancient ships had been seen on the smouldering shores, it became clear that there was more at work here than a simple volcano. Over the following weeks, as the tremors, ash and lava began to slightly subdue, it became clear the volcanic islands had brought up the wrecks of the First Armada from the sea floor, and with it various ruins believed to be of Orgoth in origin. What such ruins could be and how the First Armada could still have survived from that time of legend were the subject of speculation and wild theory. Regardless, such an opportunity was too great to pass up and within the month every major power had mounted an expedition to the Islands of the First Armada, each determined to claim them over all others parties.
Welcome to this the 'First Armada' narrative campaign weekend. Following on from our hugely successful narrative campaign weekends for Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 we are delighted that you join us for our latest adventure. We have designed this narrative campaign weekend to be (we hope) as enjoyable as possible and it should prove to be a great weekend for both those new to the setting as well as world weary veterans of the various Warmachine and Hordes tournaments. If you are expecting anything other than to just have fun – turn back now!
The First Armada pits Taskforces of up to eight players in a campaign to seize artefacts from the mysterious and unstable ruins that have appeared in the heart of a volcanic island chain on the turbulent Sea of a Thousand Souls.

Isn't there someone in America who does organised play or campaign weekends, there a small mint to be made in doing it as we do over here, not for the gaming club but a business running in the background could do well from this.
Real shame, try and organise something!

Hi there.
Event has been put back a week to the 19th-20th November due to an unfortanate clash with other things.
Players are also, now free to choose any casters for their lists, not just the ones listed in the pack.
The one's in the Event Pack are just more involved in the story line over the weekend in terms of narative.
You will also be grouped into faction groups, with each member of the group free to choose whichever faction casters they wish.
Also, you don't have to choose the same caster in each list, just as long as they're from the same faction, (Cygnar for example).
Thats it for now.
SG.
