Hey guys!, I need a bit of help. I have been playing with a VERY solid list at the 1750 point level. However! my local club prefers 2000pt games. Can you guys give me some ideas on how to change this into a STRONG/WELL ROUNDED sw list. Keep in mind the following things!

I play against Marines for the most part.
Grey Knights are the new Skurge of the town
Little to no horde activity
Below is my current 1750 list

Wolf tail talisman

Wolf Guard Terminator with combi-plasma, power sword
Wolf Guard Terminator with combi-melta, power sword
Wolf Guard Terminator with combi-plasma, wolf claw
Wolf Guard Terminator with combi-melta, chainfist
Wolf Guard Terminator with storm bolter, power sword, cyclone missile launcher
--> Land Raider Crusader

Wolf Guard: Combi Melta, Powerfist

Landspeeder: Multi Melta and Heavy Flamer
Landspeeder: Multi Melta and Heavy Flamer

5 Long Fangs: 4 Missile launchers
--> Razorback with Twin Linked Lascannon

5 Long Fangs: 4 Missile launchers
--> Razorback with Twin Linked Lascannon

Ditch the Wolf Guard Terminators. If you want a melee unit there are far better options in the codex. Grey Hunters + Arjac and/or Ragnar, 15 Blood Claws + Wolf Priest, Thunderwolves. All of those units will perform better in melee than Wolf Guard Terminators, and for the most part they should survive longer if you build them right.

I run a Lord and 4 Thunderwolves at the 2,000 point level supported by a pair of Rune Priests, 2x packs of 8 Grey Hunters (lead by Wolf Guard) and 2x packs of 5 Grey Hunters in Razorbacks. For Heavy Support I take 2x packs of Long Fangs in Razorbacks. So far the list has been super effective, but if you didn't like the Thunderwolves you chould just as easily fit the Land Raider and Grey Hunter + Arjac in their place. The issue is at that point you want to include Dreadnoughts or something strong for counter-assault and to draw fire from the Land Raider.

In your 2nd list on the last two thunder wolves

4. Bolter, Melta Bombs
5. Bolter

Drop the bolters and just give
4. Melta Bombs
5. Naked

You're giving up a close combat attack rending attack on each of them. They are a CC unit you'll never want to rapid fire their bolters, just shoot the bolt pistols.

ONE member may replace his Close combat weapon with
Power Weapon / Storm Sheild

Any of them can replace the Bolt Pistol with
Bolter, Plasma Pistol, or Storm Sheild

Only thing I would really like to see different on the Lord is a weapon to take advantage of his Higher Initiative, i.e. a Wolf Claw or Frost Blade.

And drop the Bolters from the Thunderwolves as if I am not mistaken, Beasts and Cavalry do not gain Relentless so if you're shooting the Bolters, you cannot assault.

they are in the war gear automatically. I only added them to show differentiation. Thed one with the bolter is IE Naked.

Your second list is almost identical to the 2k list I run. Here is my list:

Wolf Lord (TWM, Claw, Sheild, Necklace, Meltabombs, Bear) - 245
Rune Priest (Chooser, Living Lightning, Murderous Hurricane) - 110
Rune Priest (Meltabombs, Murderous Hurricane, Tempest's Wrath) - 105
4 Wolf Guard (2x Power Fist, 4x Combi-Melta) - 132
8 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Wolf Standard, Rhino) - 170
8 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Wolf Standard, Rhino) - 170
5 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 155
5 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 155
4 Thunderwolves (Thunder Hammer, 3x Storm Shields, Meltabombs) - 325
6 Long Fangs (5x Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 215
6 Long Fangs (5x Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 215
Total 1,997

I used to run the 2x Fenrisian Wolves along with my Wolf Lord but was always having to proxy them because I haven't found models I like, so instead I ditched them and made a few adjustments to fit a 3rd Storm Shield on the pack of Thunderwolves. You lose some ablative wound capability if your opponent is firing S10 weapons at you, but you gain some durability against Plasma and Power Weapons and the like. The primary difference is that you have 3x Wolf Guard and I have 4x Wolf Guard, which is really just a matter of adjusting a few things around, but I like the extra Combi-Melta shot in both small Grey Hunter packs.

I've really had a lot of success with this list design, so I highly recommend it. I'll be making some tournament rounds with it and the 1,500 point version once I get the rest of my army painted, so I'll really have a chance to put it through its paces, but if you play with it I'd really like to hear how you do.

No, they come with a BP/CCW. You choose to replace the BP with the Bolter for no additional cost, which gives you one less attack because you now have only a single CCW.

Oh, ok, then yeah. I would us it as a Bolt Pistol lol
Also! Why dont you add a storm bolter to your Rune Priest? It is only 3 points and it would bring you to a well rounded 2000 points
