I got one of the new Forge World books that comes with a poster, Just wondering if there was a way I could hang it without damaging it and not have to put out the money for real framing. Thought about the sticky strips but they look like they will damage the back of the poster and it has a picture I may want to use in the future.

Any suggestions?

On a boat, Trying not to die.

Go to a craft store, get a 10 dollar frame, and hang it.

I heard many times from different buddies that blu tac will stain the posters...

The cost of framing the Badab space marine poster would be outrageous, the thing is very large.. the walmart cheap poster frames are not even big enough..

you could try to pick up some adhesive spray. It's very sticky but is designed to com off when force is applied (or at least the one my art department has does)

Frames aren't that expensive. As long as you go for the most basic ones it won't cost too much. I have an a few A3 music posters in frames and they only cost about £7 each. I don't know how large ypur poster is but it can't be that much bigger.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Blue tac tends to only stain posters because of the oil from your fingers when handing it.

I would agree with the cheap frames - you can get huge ones for less than £10-15.

Blu-tac FTW, it shouldn't stain unless you put it on white, or handle it too much before use, the oil form your hands is what does the damage. Plus sunlight is BAD!

On second thought if you really don't want to use a frame (I would still suggest it as it is useful for protecting it) you could use White Tac. being white it shouldn't leave any marks.

Me too
Surely banhammer is punishment enough!

Blue Tac can leave an oily stain if left on for long periods
I would look around for am inexpensive frame as suggested.

Also keep an eye out for pictires in charity shops.
You may be able to pick up a frame cheaply and chuck out the pic that came with it

If you have the time and supplies, specifically some sanded wood and a miter saw, you can always make your own frame. You could probably make quite a few frames for what they cost at the store.

I tried using those adhesive magnets from craft stores but they weren't strong enough. Maybe tabletop quality magnets and adhesive could do the trick

Ok heres what you do. Goto a family dollar store, and buy their $5 or $10 framed art crap they sell. They come in pretty big sizes. THEN, take out the "framed art" and throw it in the garbage, and then enjoy your fancy frame for a cheap ass cost

Your welcome.

How is it be a dollar store when things cost $5 or $10?

One of the few ceratinties in life is that everything in Poundland costs a pound.
Except for a few items that cost less...

Damn! Another bit of confusion to add to an ever increasing world of uncertainty.

The annoying part was, I worked there for almost 2 years. And I couldnt get through a day without someone walking up with 10 things and wondering why their total wasnt 10 bucks plus tax. Seriously?? You thought a cooler, a grill, 4 folding chairs and a beach towel were all a buck? Really?

One can always live in hope. Though let's face it, there are those who live more in dope.

iirc Woolworth's used to operate by selling everything for sixpence (2 1/2pennies decimal)

For the more "expensive" items, you would have to buy the parts individually.
eg 6d for the frame and 6d for the glass.

It was a bugger buying a wrist watch
