Two and a half years ago, I had managed to get 10 Terminators from Black Reach. One squad of 5 on my own, one squad of 5 from a buddy of mine, and one extra from a White Dwarf. With this I wanted to built a 10 man Terminator squad with 2 cyclones, since I had those lying around. I primed them in December of 2008 and over the past two and a half years have painted them piecemeal. I finally finished them this month after taking a month off from painting! As a result they're a bit of a hodgepodge of old painting techniques and new painting techniques, and while they're not my best work I'd still like to share them!

Hope you like em!

Very nice man! Primed sence 08! lol sounds like me. i bet it feels good to have them done tho... Great work keep it up.

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mold them, And in the furnace of war I shall forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armor shall I clad them, and with the mightiest of guns will they be armed. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.

I should have done more with it; this army doesn't use many power swords and I didn't want to go for the lightning effect like I've done before, but as of now it just looks like a polished butter knife! I've got to think of a good-looking compromise.

One thing that I've done is added some blue or some lightning, but added a light layer of silver on top. Now it only shows up from certain angles.

BTW I would love to see more of this army.

I did a little silver on the bare edges, but a drybrush would have been a better idea - I did that on my Iron Warriors.

As for the rest of the army, very little of it is "modern" - I'm still up for redoing the basing on some of the models, but here are some old shots of the RT-era portion of this army:

Here's the whole army:

Captain Delgado and his command squad:

Sergeant Rico and his tactical squad:

Sergeant Villa and his rhino-borne tactical squad:

Lead tactical squad - the sergeant may be used as Pedro Kantor at some point in the future:

Techmarine Bob with his Thudd gun (counts-as Thunderfire) and the plasma cannon dreadnought:

My second dreadnought, with what I counts-as an assault cannon:

The Space Hulk Terminator squad, with "Bernie" the heavy flamer Terminator, who earned eternal glory in this battle: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/231337.page

I like the old termies!
Horray for Bernie!!! I just had a game where all of my rolls were terrible, but Pedro Kantor destroyed an ork mob 18 strong by himself saving a scout sniper squad from a grisly fate. He made about 20-25 straight armor/INV saves. I had my doubts about him, but now hes my... my preciousss.

I need to get more mileage out of Pedro! I have both him and some Sternguard that definitely could use some paint. Keep an eye out in the next couple months for some of them!

Yes! I didn't love that book but I liked it well enough. I figured that was the only place I'd have a Terminator officer with a power sword so I thought I might as well sneak it in.

Also, "not to be a nerd" is a little redundant on a 40k forum, isn't it?
