I was just wondering what most people do for fiends in the 40k deamon range.

1. The model sucks
2. they cost and army and a leggy

What my friend did is he took the goblin spiders from WHFB and cut a Daemonette in half put her torso on her added a tail and some green stuff.

Since the Spider-daemonettes has already been suggested (if you go with this option, the new Araknorok can be melded with the plastic DP model to suit), he is what I use...



Simply added more tentacles and some Back-2-Base-Ix Chaos Runes bases.

some other kind of animal (or alien, e.g. nids) would be a good base for a half-humanoid/half-beast mutation, if that appeals. Then you can do random mixes of humanoid and beasty bits. Dark Eldar might be good for the humanoid bits too, they have a vaguely fiendish look...
