Hi
I have an dea to build a vertical gameboard.
Picture a board, like shelves (made to scale) , of the inside of a ship.
Maybe 1.8m long by 1.2 m high.
corridors and storage bays, stairs and elevator shafts.
Anyone know of or done this ??
any links?

cheers

Cheers George.

That old Necromunda set-up was the first thing I thought of as well.

A bit problem with doing a true stacked set it reaching stuff in the center. Unless the decks were really tall you would have a good chance of bumping the stack and knocking stuff over. Olso it would be easy to lose track of and forget troops/units deep inside the stack.

Really? its actually quite old. Its from back when necromunda was actually still in production and quite popular.

Unfortunately, I missed out on that game. Judging by the community's continued interest so long after GW pulled the plug, it must have been a hell of a fun game.

It is a hell of a game, and unless things have changed at the GW's site (haven't been there for an age and a half) the rules are available as a .pdf.

Love the idea. I can see this as a "Search and Rescue" or "Object Recovery" mission type.
Gotta come up with special rules for it (army values, initiative roll?, turn advancement edits, etc.) just to make it seem more relatively realistic in terms of an actual infiltration.

This is an excellent suggestion for my local hobby shop. I see cardboard, duck-tape, paper-cuts, and much paint in my future...

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

but what about my lovely tanks? its a cool idea and I whold love to play on it but not with an armoured company maybe use bpxes to build on top of each other then fill out the details. that way it could also be modular.
