If you're looking for game 1...

Anyway. I get placed on the same table again. Just my luck, I think. I'm a little annoyed, but then I read over my opponent's list, and suddenly realize just how okay with this I am.
Space Wolves list:
Bjorn the Fell-Handed, Plasma Cannon
Dreadnought, 2 Twin Linked Autocannons
Dreadnought, 2 Twin Linked Autocannons
LongFangs, 4 Missile Launchers, 1 Lascannon
(x3)
Land Speeder, Typhoon Missile Launcher
(x3)
6 Grey Hunters, Meltagun, Mark of the Wulfen, Razorback w/ TwinLinked Lascannon
(x4)
Mother of god, all that shooting

I'm gonna get ripped apart! But wait, I have ample amounts of cover! We'll see how this goes...
Mission 3: Carnage Now this I like...
Pitched Battle Deployment
This mission is to capture and kill as many things as possible. One objective marker is placed in the middle of the board. The player with the most scoring units within 6" of the objective at the end of game gets 3pts. Dedicated transports do not count as scoring units. For every enemy unit a player destroys he gets 1pt. Who ever gets the most points wins.
So what I really need to do is just crash into his lines and kill stuff. He doesnt have a big deathstar so my fist / meltagun squads should be relatively safe
Win/Loss/Draw points same as last times.
Bonus Points:
+2 Points for controlling the objective marker at the end of game.
+2 Points for destroying the most enemy units in the game.
+2 Points for every
HQ unit destroyed.
So ... Kill things. Gotcha.
I win the rolloff to go first, Even with Bjorn's little roll-again rule.
I deploy fairly aggressively, with a squad or two in
LoS, and the Devastators in a bunker. Otherwise they'll get shot to pieces (they dont do much this game anyway, but whatever...)
My opponent then deploys fairly evenly across the board... Looking at all this shooting is making me ill.
My left
My right
He does NOT steal the initiative (although he tries with a 5) and we proceed to my turn.
Night Lords Turn 1
So I realize at this point that I just might need that objective. I also realize that IF I can get to him, I can do some serious damage, but also that this Bjorn fellow could potentially work in my favor. We ask the tourny manager just how is special death rule would work out for this game, seeing as it is both objectives AND kill points, and he rules in favor of kill points. That's better for me.
I move everything up, keeping to cover on the flanks (yay bastion stuff on top of the buildings) and keeping everyone else within range of the librarian. The dreadnought comes out to potshot someone.
But you know just how much my shooting does turn 1? Nothing.
Charge? Ave Dominus Nox! Oh right, also, the unpainted lightning claw squad on the right is the only squad to Red Thirst. Hence the 1 right there.
Space Wolves Turn 1
Well he is pretty confident that nothing died, and so inches to get
LoS on his preferred targets. I immediately pop out Shield of Sanguinius. After some initial confusion on his part he cedes that Yes, I do use it in his shooting phase, and we move on to me getting the gak blasted out of me.
So total kills (I'm not going to go through with what individually killed each guy, that would take years, as did his shooting phase

)
One from the left fist squad eats it.
3 from the center
LC squad.
3 from the Right fist squad.
One of my bunker lascannons.
My predator made a ridiculous 8 5+ cover saves. Thank you Shield!
(I may have neglected on multiple occasions to take pics of his turns. He hardly moved and the only differences would have been one or two models missing, my apologies)
Night Lords Turn 2
Well that wasn't as bad as I was dreading. Looking at it, I'm hoping my two fist squads can get some assaults off on the long fang squads on the buildings. Also, he moved a speeder up onto the building in EASY charge range. Everything moves up (Oh noes, my pred doesnt get Shield anymore!)
So I shoot the land speeder on the left, knowing that i'll be able to combo charge. I whiff it with my meltaguns, but that's okay.
On the right, I kill 1 long fang, but then im out of assault range, but barely (difficult terrain rolls for the loss. My opponent claimed that the stairs were difficult, I didn't argue.)
On the left though, they roll a 6 for that terrain and make it into both the long fangs and the speeder (but not after my center
LC squad try and fail to get to the same Long Fangs)
They kill one Longfang and knock the missile launcher off the speeder.
Space Wolves Turn 2
His
GHs on the left most side disembark and trot over to below the building where the
LS /
LF combat is going on. Other random shuffling.
Bjorn and friends kill 5 more of the Lightning Claw center, leaving (I think) The priest, the Sarg, and one marine. He shakes the predator, kills on more marine on the right, the devastator sarg dies, and two of the honorguard die to lascannons. Thankfully, his Grey Hunters only roll a two for their difficult terrain (and a 1 but who is counitng?) and so cant make it into the combat.
The combat sees me LOSE 2, and get no hits back. Wonderful, just wonderful. For some reason he didnt move his land speeder though...
(forgot pictures again.... Sorry...)
Night Lords Turn 3
So this Bjorn prick hurts. and his 5+ invuln is not fun either. That's okay, I have Meltaguns! My captain splits from the guard to finish the long fangs, the 3 remaining of the
LC squad go to intercept the grey hunters, and the other fist squad go to take out Bjorn. The last
LC squad skulks around the objective in cover, with the priest from the Fist squad detatching to join them.
The pred moves out of
LoS seeing as he is shaken.
Shooting see's nothing die, no surprise. Bjorn makes his invuln save (payback for those cover saves!) so I assault him. Str9 fist vs armour 13? We'll see.
Bjorn kills 2, doesn't take a scratch.
The captain assaults, and wipes out the long fangs, while the squad immobilizes the land speeder and consolidates.
The 3
LC marines assault the 6 Long fangs, kill 2 and sit there staring.
Before pictures...
After...
This combat will end up taking all game.
Space Wolves Turn 3
Lots more shooting. Librarian takes a wound and the Lightning Claws in the
HQ squad die. Two from the objective squad die, one more from the fist squad now out of combat as well.
The grey hunter melee kills 2 more, but I lose the regular marine.Bjorn kills 2 more marines, I only Shake him, and the rest of the squad runs away.
Night Lords Turn 4
Lots more whiffing, I am brilliant at whiffing stuff. My captain moves over for the next Long Fang squad.
My squads, now angry, move around Bjorn. the big melta squad, and the remaining 1 melta 1 fist. the
HG move close enough to give the Sanguinary novitiate's buff to them. Meltaguns miss.
Over on the left we go one for one again, leaving -I think- 1 Grey Hunter(Mark of the Wulfen) versus my Sanguinary Priest. The two fist squads charge bjorn. I ask him where he is directing his attacks, at the 2 man squad, or the 6 man squad. He tells me, after thinking about it, at the 6 man squad. This threw me off, I expected him to want to try to take out the fist, easily done in the 2 man squad, but whatever, I'm not gonna argue. He kills 4. I then penetrate him 3 times, get through his save, and explode him. Take that. One squad consolidates into the crater, one to hide behind the honor guard.
My captain assaults, killing 1, count it 1, Long Fang.
Power in numbers, I guess?
A duel for the ages!
Space Wolves Turn 4
So his shooting is starting to slow down. He kills the sarg from the hiding-inside-bjorn's-crater squad. He also takes the turret off of the predator.
In the combats, the duelists both whiff (i miss, he just gets shut down by
FNP) and the captain kills 2 more
LFs, for the rest to run.
He is now starting to move his rightmost two razorbacks towards the objective. Nuh uh.
Night Lords Turn 5
My lord gets over to the razorbacks that are right under the building he's on. The two remaining honorguard go for the imm. landspeeder (I want Killpoints now) and the Libby splits to join the skulking-on-the-objective-squad. My single meltagunner starts to back up as well, while the fist / meltagun move back into his group of vehicles to shoot the landspeeder right next to the fleeing
LFs. It explodes, killing both my meltagun and his sergeant. Oh happy day...
My devastators FINALLY do something helpful and wreck the foremost razorback. The greyhunters get out as far from the captain as possible, but I roll difficult AND dangerous terrain (as per wrecks) and simply run over top it shrieking into their midst. I kill 3 of them, although I take 2 wounds back (stupid rending...)
Also, they killed the speeder. The duel is also still continuing. Yay misses!
All alone amidst two dreads and a full razorback...
Ave Dominus Nox!
Space Wolves Turn 5
His last Long Fang falls off the board. He kills the sarg after moving his two dreads around cover to take shots at my last big squad.
His other squad of right hunters move around the combat, and disembark to shoot the squad. The last one up north gets out to attack the remaining honor guard while the razorback goes and sits at the edge of Bjorn's crater.Shooting kills the sanguinary novitiate, and 2 or 3 from the last big squad, but the meltagunner, who takes two full riflemen dreads to the face, lives.
The last Honorguard gets assaulted, but kills one for no wounds in return, what a boss.
The captain kills one more hunter before dying ingloriously (oh well, he almost single handedly destroyed two
LF squads, and half of this
GH squad.)
The duelists over on the left finally get work done. I get 3 power weapon wounds, and rejoice, before saying, "yea, now you're going to kill me. It's just a smaller version of this game at large." And what does he do? 2 rends. Woo woo for killing each other.
Night Lords Turn 6
So this is what I'm looking at. A couple scattered vehicles, two troop squads right next to my objective, and an about to die honorguard. I think another
KP would be great, so I send off the last meltagunner to get the last landspeeder, and promptly forget to shoot him at all, because my anticipation at lining up this assault on his grey hunters (libby, priest,
LC squad) is so great. DO however, remember to shoot with my predator and wreck one of the dreadnoughts.
I get a combo charge off and wipe out both of his grey hunter squads.
The banner bearer kills one more grey hunter before drowning in saves.
All hail the glorious heros
Space Wolves Turn 6
So we're running out of time here... He does some really fast shuffling, and his last grey hunters run into their razorback to hopefully get to the objective. But considering the location of Bjorn's crater and the newly wrecked dread, they have to go over the crater. My opponent dismisses this and says in a rush as he is moving his razorback that he's rolling terrain... and comes up with a one.
Saddened, he cannot move, and shoots my meltagunner who forgot to move to bloody pieces.
Game end.
So we start tallying.
My points:
Objective, 3 Points
Landspeeders, 2 Points
Bjorn, 1 Point
Dread, 1 Point
Grey Hunters, 3 Points
Long Fangs, 2 Points
Razorback, 1 Point
Total of 13 Points for the mission
His points:
Assault squads, 3 Points
Captain, 1 Point
Honor Guard, 1 Point
Sanguinary Priest, 1 Point
Total of 6 Points for the mission
Unfortunately for him, that's how it goes. My army had so few kill points for this mission that he needed to table me WITH the objective to win it after all the damage I did to him.
I probably should have ignored Bjorn for a while and focused on taking out the other dreadnoughts and such, I could have done better I think, but I ended up with a win, and my opponent was amused that this was the first time Bjorn had ever died while he was running him, so I was happy I could oblige.
Anyway, for the win, 10 points. Bonus Points:
+2 Points for controlling the objective marker. Yup
+2 Points for destroying the most enemy units in the game. Yup.
+2 Points for every
HQ unit destroyed. +2. My opponent got +4. (we neglected to tell the tourny manager that it was the
HG squad that died, I wanted my opponent to have some extra points)
So another 16 point win, giving me a nice pretty 47 total for the tournament.
As the awards were announced, I waited. 3rd place, Dark Eldar
2nd place, Tyranids (I had seen this list and absolutely dreaded maybe going up against it)
1st place, Me
So hey, my first Tournament win! Happy days indeed.
Hope you guys enjoyed the batreps, they were some pretty fun games.
