Try this.

Big mek Kff

19 boyz. nob with BP,PK

19 boyz. nob with BP,PK

battlewagon,deffrolla,big shoota

battlewagon,deffrolla,big shoota

5 lootas

with enough points left over for a objective camping unit of grots.

Both armies should be able to hit the enemy turn 2 the main diffrence is that BWs will make it to the target and trucks wont.

Also the BWs deffrollas give you an answer if some SM player gets cute and takes a LR at this point range.

Damn I cant wait to the GW legal team codex comes out now there is a dex that will conquer all.

Okay, once again we have the "Your list isn't good, use this one instead!" post. Did you even read the OP?

It's a simple list, but I think pretty good overall. Maybe think about dropping one of the boyz riding with the Boss to add a Boarding Plank, or one of the boyz from each Trukk to add Red Pain Jobs to all of them.

But if you play it straight Speed Freeks, you should be pretty good. KFF gives the 4+ cover, Rams let you reroll Dangerous terrain, and a lot of Powerklaws for a small list.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!

Yes I read his list and the objective is to play a fast moving army is it not?

The list presented is not capable of dealing with even light AV 12 armor except in close combat and 4 orks trucks cannot survive even one turns worth of shooting +4 cover save from KFF or not.

So not knowing if he had already purchased models or not I presented what I felt would be a fun to play but effective list that could can deal with most threats.

It should be noted that I hate ork trucks I find the extra speed usually dose not result in getting into CC any quicker and they die in droves to even massed bolter fire. You may have had success with truck list and if you have I would really like to know what you did to make them work (no sarcasm intended I really wanna know)

Ah. Alright then. Sorry if I came off as harsh, it's just you see so many people on here going "Hurr, that's a trash list, use mine instead!" that it's a bit of an instinctual reaction on my part. Now if you'd put those reasons there in your first post...

And part of it is that I'm a much more fluffy Ork player, so when I think Speed Freaks, I don't think Lootas, which are, pretty much by definition, slow. I honestly don't know why everyone's all "Take Lootas everywheres!"- I do fine without them, and the few times I have used them, they've been less than useless. Then again, I very rarely go up against an army that doesn't have at least one Land Raider in it, and there's almost no rhinos in my local Meta, so I don't really know how important it is to be able to 'pop' them. I use Tankbustas in my Elite slots instead.

I definitely see your point about the Battlewagons being more survivable, but with Trukks you can also get the rare 1st turn Charge, when your opponent also moves his force up from 12" from table edge.

Also, if you really need to deal with AV 14, you could stick Boarding Planks and Wrekkin' Balls on the Trukks (at the cost of one or two Boyz from each, which, yeah, in't great.) Honestly, with what most armies are aiming at Trukks (and the Ramshackle rule) the KFF will either save them, giving them a turn to get all up in their face, or not, meaning you've probably lost anyways. And it's probably gonna be about the same outcome with Battlewagons, only in this case you'll have only half the targets, meaning (remember, this is only a 750 point list) you'll get twice the firepower on both of them, and you're that much more likely to fail the cover saves.

I don't particularly like Trukks either (though I don't hate them like you say you do), but I do think Freaks is one of those Ork lists where you really need to go absolutely all-or-nothing on a theme- if you're going to go fast, everything's going really fast. Bikers and Trukkers and Koptas and Buggies, and only take Battlewagons if you're going to spam them.

Jubear. For my trukk strategy (recently played my buddies 750 pt Tau and won with 1/4 trukks left) I rely on cover for the first turn, I don't charge my foe right away headlong into battle, especially Tau. Trukks need the upmost care for a wise general. I like to use one trukk with Warboss and zoom it towards the enemy on a flank, the one with the most cover nearby. It's purpose is to scare the opponent and have them direct their firepower into it. I use the other 3 trukks with KFF in a tight formation and charge towards the flank or support the warboss if needed, that way I can deploy any trukks left to form a wall to block LOS and shield my boyz as they advance. I have learned to deploy the boyz early and not risk any turns past 2-3.

Let me know how it goes when you scale the points up. Ive tried using terrain to to block LOS to my trucks while they advance but I tend to find If I do so I end needing extra turns of movement to bring da boyz within threat range. Also the true LOS rules 40k uses makes compleatly hiding a truck very hard. I understand roadblock tactics etc but I find my trucks have a nasty habit of ramshakling 2d6 off in the wrong direction and boom my cover is gone =(
