I have just joined the site, thought I would say hi. I have been modelling and painting pretty badly for a few years, after a 10 year break, and was hoping to bolster my self esteem by looking at other's skills at modelling and painting, but I still fall short of the mark!
I am currently on with an Ultramarine army, as that is what I had back in the good ol' days. I am most proud of my Redeemer, and my 8 man Devastator squad which I am applying the finishing touches to. I have also planned to start a Dark Eldar army, but that is on hold until I have finished the marines I have on the factory line.
As bad as my modelling and painting is, my gameplay is far warse - I often choose my units based on how new they are and how good they look, which invariably means an army that can't hold objectives or defend itself properly. That being said, I love seeing all the models that are about to obliterate my force, and the imaginative ways they are posed and painted. I have been looking through the gallery here, and it is all very impressive! I really should get on with doing some work though :(

lol, welcome to dakka, its ok, i pretty much suck at painting and am not the universes greatest player either, I do like ultramarines
