I hated metal so I wasn't sad to see it go, and I finally got some Eldar Rangers. Most of them were okay, but the guns were touch and go when it came to them being straight. Two of models had a ton of plastic attached to them though.

Very nice. Do they have any kind of residue from the mold detachment process still upon the model?

Not that I noticed, I clipped it and immediately painted it and the paint stuck without issue.

Are you saying you didn't prime the model - that you painted the bare Plesin\Rastic\whatever?

Unprimed? That looks great... might save us some steps...

Correct. Despite countless millennia of evolution, technological advances and civilization, we're still monkeys throwing feces at things we don't like.-Zed.

Very good standard of painting. I am surprised you didn't prime it, i have looked at the picture and the edges of the painting looks granular (slightly uneven texture) is this the case or the Quality of the Camera?

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Coincidence!

I bought mine the other day!

I wanted to get some fine cast, and wanted some rangers.

Voila!

Still mid-paint but decided to load up pic anyway just to join in with your thread.

I was infact expecting them to be worse than they actually were, but we opened the pack in the shop and one chap was missing his backpack. . . Opened the only other pack in store and swapped the model like for like. The GW guy didn't want to part with the duff model at reduced price which was a shame. . .

It's the camera, it pixelates the picture some times.

You know what?

I just got a metal ranger in the post today from GW. Eldar Ranger Kneeling Observing £7.20

Lovely model, but more importantly, very little flash or mould lines. A quick going over with a file, drill the barrel, glue the backpack and done. The fine cast in comparison needed way more attention. I am very impressed with the quality of this model, I wish I had got them all in metal now.
