Devastating Dark Reaper

A friend told me about a neat chaos list exploiting Lash and templates (hey, it's new to me...). I thought it sounded like a lot of fun and tried to make a list around that theme. I think it should all be pretty self explanatory. I've never played chaos and just read the new codex for the first time yesterday, so I'm hoping that you guys will be able to help me patch this up. Comments and criticism would be greatly appreciated.

might want to consider dropping the DPs for Sorces to ride with your other squads. as it is the DPs can be focused super easy. in the squads you can even lash them for an easier zerk charge

I was hoping to have the demons running around killing stuff at the same time. Assuming I swap out the demons for chaos sorcerers, should I put them in the chaos marine squads? I don't think putting them in combat would be so hot.

A few things:
You want to maximize the number of Special Weapons your Troops units bring to the table, unless they're Berzerkers. This means either 5-man squads with 1 Special Weapon, 10 man squads with 2 Special Weapons, or Plague Marine squads of 5-7 guys with 2 Special Weapons.
Sorcerors are better than Princes above 1,500 points. Even at 1,500 points, there's usually enough on the table to paste Princes. They aren't hard to kill at all.
10 Berzerkers is overkill. The Power Fist brings that Champion's point cost to 61 points. With a power weapon he's 51 points and gains an extra attack. IMO he's better with a Power Weapon and the squad's ideal size is 7-8 guys including the Skull Champion.
So what do you do?
The easiest fix is swapping the Princes for Sorcerors and dropping a Berzerker from each squad, then using the extra points to add a Chaos Marine + Melta Gun to each CSM squad.

Either one works, depends on what you're playing and how you're playing. Sorcerors aren't anything to sneeze at in CC though, what with free force weapons and whatnot. 5 attacks on the charge, generally hitting on 3's and I6. What's not to love?

Alrighty, I like the sound of that. Let me update this... Automatically Appended Next Post: This leaves me with a nice chunk of points, do you think it makes sense to pick up some upgrades like extra armor, or should I get something else?

Chaos Space Marine dedicated to Slaanesh

I believe you cant list your army with all the specific point upgrade values as its a intellectual property thing, correct me if i'm wrong.
Currently you've got it like this:
1. Chaos Sorcerer (100 pts), Mark of Slaanesh (5 pts), Lash of Submission (20 pts), 125
You should have it like this:
1. Chaos Sorceror - Mark of slaanesh, Lash of submission 125
We dont wanna get dakka in trouble do we!

How about taking some raptors and one of your sorcerors with a jump pack to bring some quick assault damage? Lose some of the other upgrades...
5 Raptors, Twin LC, 2x Meltaguns = 145pts

I wouldnt run such a small squad though, or at least without MoS. Needs I5 to be able to pack a punch into those MEQ's before they hit back, or it's a wasted squad. or MoN for the survivability, or even i guess MoK for extra attacks even if they're going to be splattered.

If you have extra points to spend, get Combi-Meltas for your Rhinos, specially the berserker's Rhinos.
I am going to assume your Sorcs are riding with your Zerkers. Otherwise they need mobility.
Only thing you really need is a home objective camper. You don't want one of those CMS units hanging back. Maybe a 5 man CSM squad with a melta gun in a Rhino with a Havoc launcher (135pts) can do this for you. Would even give you another template...
