Apparently some chinese company has made a blatant rip off of TF2. The map is also ripped off of Battlefield Heroes I think

Have to admit though, I wouldnt mind having a firefighter outfit for soldier

And all other classes are changed up a bit. Medic and Sniper are female, Pyro has a guitar, Engineer is taller and has a blowtorch, heavy stole engineer's clothes, scout may be packing a bigger pistol, demoman has a bombsuit, and spy has a top hat

Well if anyone can speak chinese then maybe you should scan their website to check for any mentioning of Team Fortress 2, Valve, etc

Hmm ok there is something else interesting

This game has Ten Classes. In the gameplay we have seen there are these guys with assault rifles i think. Those must be the guy with the pistol on the poster. On the far right of the poster there is the "Scout" with a hockey stick who is cut off on the pic I got

Still they could have done more to change it, the game is very similar... it's more like they made a sequal to be honest.

No mention of Team Fortress 2 that I could see but I just took a quick glance. The Rocket video was pretty hilarious. I might have to download it and try it out see how the game plays. I'm sure I'll be terrible because of horribad ping.

Does it say much about me, that although I've never played TF2, the inclusion of the female sniper make it more likely I'd try this chinese game.

I guess thats what irks me the most, why not go the extra mile to make everyone look unique? I do understand why copy TF2, it imho did rejuvenate the cartoony team based shooter and many other games did get made in a similar fashion. I'm not saying these examples are TF2 ripoffs but imo these games did take at least some parts of TF2 for inspiration while at the same time having their own distinct styles (in fact valve even endorsed one of these)

Well looks like this game has little point seeing TF2 is now "free"

Although its weird, now according to the silhouettes theres going to be 14 classes (I think ones a pirate)

Anyways 3 new videos, the Striker (gee, what valve game has Strike in its name?) the Fatman (who has sniper knife) and the....well Sniper (who has the TF2 pistol). Another map is ripped off according to a vid, its Capture Point Harvest. Also they changed the pyro so hes probably gonna be some homicidal clown, funny that a chinese rip off is going to have a pyro vid before valve.

In Chinese academia it's actually common practice to plagerize I hear.

This does not shock me. It's not the first time that someone in Asia has ripped off something else for whatever reason.

I think its funny that they had to name her weapon 'Sniper Rifle' just to let people know what it was. I doubt it lacks the same story as TF2 though, making a sniper a girl shows that they didn't comprehend why sniper looks the way he does story wise.

Heh I cast semi thredomancy! It seems that I cannot access the full site anymore due to a 403, probably because they dont want westerners to know! But I did some digging and theres a vid on their pyro called "The Firebat" (gee rip off of star craft!)

I care little for this rip off game but I just wanted to post this vid since.....I actually like it. Its different. Whereas all other FC/TF2 vids are heroic/kick assery, this is very solemn

I like it. It sorta has this "small town chaos" bit about it. Like everyone around you had access to different weapons, then they just waltz outside, met each other in the middle of town, and started shooting.

Rip off or not, I like it more than tf2 so far.

Does anyone no if for weird reason TF2 was banned in china? Cause it would make sense if someone created this Chinese version to the standards of those communists...just a guess

If you happened to live in China and had heard about TF2 but were unable to play it because of some wierd and strict laws, would you not embrace this version with open arms, gaming mouse and rig at the ready?

You must have to say it looks like an advanced TF2. Although its kind of sad its not multicultural but only china based (what I can see so far).
