How do you model those, seeing as most halberd are held in one hand, leaving a rather odd empty hand/socket...

Turn the wrist to the halberd can be held in two hands maybe? I dunno. Does he have to have something in the other hand? Several of the Stormvermin models hold their halberds to their side and it looks pretty good.

It's much easier to turn a stormvermin into a halberd/no sheild model then the current warriors are. The arm slots are level with each other so turning the halberd sideways means they're now poking each other in the hip and it would be a nightmare to try and rank up. I'm not sure it can really be done with the current models, since you don't have a lot of arm length left to extend it without it looking odd. You could try using green stuff and extending one arm down, one arm up so they have the halberds crossing their chests, but good luck with that one. The champion may be the only model you can successfully do this with though. If you ever figure this one out, post of picks so we can have a look!

Give them shields anyways and tell the opponent you only did that for modeling purposes?

What halberds are you using? the gw ones that they sell online or are you using chopped up lances from the chaos knights?

If the lances from the knights you can use a left hand weapon chop the weapon off and make the halberd go across the warriors chest I dont know how this would work for ranking them up.

You could take the other hand weapon adn just cut the weapon off and just leave them with the hand and halberd then still I prefer halberd and shield but this may help I hope.
